New fujoshi manga from Jump. Spoiler:Trump dies.
>>154115455
> the artist is just dying to draw porn of the female cast but isnt allowed
>mixing personal politics into manga
Dropped before I even picked it up
>>154115455
He never got to build the wall ;_;
>>154115700
There was nothing political about the chapter.
If you can't appreciate presidential cameos in manga you are probably a broken human being.
>>154115455
Did somebody say Sausage fest?
>>154115455
>http://mangastream.com/r/dr_stone/001/4072/1
is this from the sun ken rock guy?
what made him go to shonen?
>>154117279
He's just the artist this time. It seems that just like Oh!Great he realized he can draw like a motherfucker but is a bad storyteller
>>154117510
well i hope the guy he partnered with is good.
because although sun ken rock ended horribly, the start was godlike and this new story isn't grabbing my attention.
>>154115455
>We will be the Adam and Eve of this stone world
Sounds gay as fuck but still, picked up since it seems interesting
>>154117510
But Boichi is a great storyteller.
>>154117839
If you think the ending of sun-ken rock is good, I'm right here silently judging you on your poor taste
>>154117779
So far, I think the concept is neat, but the characters are such walking cliches it's kind of turning me away too.
Still gonna give it a go for a few more chapters, maybe it will pick up
>>154115700
Trump dies but so does 99.999999% of the planet
>>154117920
If you think you can judge Boichi's entire work based on one shit ending, I'm right here calling you a dope.
>>154115455
Isn't it strange that U.S. presidents & candidates, get so much spotlight in anime/manga yet personally I don't recall ever seeing any usage of irl japanese prime ministers, at least outside of the trope: Knows a Guy Who Knows a Guy.
The pilot chapter is pretty good.
I always like survival story. Please be a 100% survival manga with planning and direction.
Please not be another Cage of eden.
>>154119174
>Please be a 100% survival manga with planning and direction
not gonna happen
>>154118686
US presidents tend to be more mediatic figures than most other presidents.
Here in Portugal, the US election is always extensively covered, but no other foreign election is, other than a few passing remarks of relevant european countries
>Another first chapter confession
Keep 'em coming
>>154115455
> boichi
it's trash
>>154115455
Is this a jumpo manga?
>>154115702
At least he can become the wall now. He would be proud.
>>154117839
He's pretty bad. Some of Hotel's oneshots were the only good things he's ever done.
>>154117510
I don't think Oh!Great realized he was a bad storyteller, I think he just found another writer who was as crazy as him and partnered up.
My first impression is that the first half feels worryingly clumsy because of the overdone highschool romance. In the end the story presents itself as a surprisingly interesting premise. I'm feeling cautiously optimistic.
>>154124247
yes
I liked it, seemed pretty scary to be turned to stone with your consciousness still around and no idea what happened
How much do you bet when he finally saves her and confesses, she ends up rejecting him
>>154125857
Then it'd be the redpill manga WSJ has needed for a long time.
>>154124506
The only real bad things he's done is the ending of sun-ken and I guess Wallman.
>>154125857
That would be too good.
>>154124616
the order is messed up
I have no idea why the stone-bird sequence was placed AFTER the disaster happens
>>154126988
Tested their weapon on birds first.
2nd was an accident?
Its adam and eve, not adam and ste... Oh, its adam and steve.
Retaining consciousness and concentration for thousands of years.
Fuuuuuck that shit.
Just kill me now.
>>154126988
It is shown from protag's point who thinks of it after getting petrified.
Was this so hard to understand?
>>154115700
>Personal politics
What? They just showed Trump get turned to stone, it's pretty normal for japs to use America to show that something is important and grand
>Eyeshield 21 writer
>Sun-ken Rock artist
Cool.
>Thousands of years
>People who don't have as strong of a will as them also get released
>Their minds are completely broken
Oh I'm looking forward to this tbqh
>An apocalyptic story where people want to restore civilisation to the golden ages
FUCKING FINALLY.
>>154128840
>Eyeshield 21 writer
goddamit now i need to look at this
>>154116005
Baki is still ongoing? I remember the Obama scenes kek.
>>154115455
>spoiler
Dropped as sack of brick.
>>154115455
>Trump
>DQ plot
>eyeshield+SKR
Picked up.
>>154131492
DQ?
>>154115455
I'm surprised Boichi hasn't landed a job for shounen sports stories
His art style seems perfect for those hot blooded plot lines
Blonde guy reminds me of Hiruma a tiny bit. I don't really like the MC though, good-hearted dumb guys never did much for me when they are the protagonist.
>>154124506
oh! great is still doing biorg trinity?
seems like it's been years since people actually talked about it
>>154115455
>post-apocalyptic setting
canceled before 10 chapters
>Jump
oh, boy. I can't wait for it to get axed after chapter 12 or get milked way after it jumps the shark.
>>154136582
I wonder when they'll start axing these new series. Poro has two chapters out, so I give it another eight weeks, and maybe ten or eleven for U19.
>>154136803
U19 won't be axed.
>>154126316
SKR was pretty mediocre all-around, you read it for the art, not the plot. Rakia was a similar mess.
>>154121431
He hasn't confessed yet though. It's been literally several millennia already and he STILL hasn't confessed.
>>154115455
Trump will continue to build his wall in the afterlife.
>>154115702
If you think about it, he did succeed at stopping all illegal immigration though.
what did they mean by this
>>154132129
Don Quixote
>>154137425
>scared
>not excited
Go back to your shonen general, Pedro
>>154137588
but which one will be eve?
>>154137588
Why do I have the distinct felling that it's gonig to be a Cain and Abel story instead?
>>154132129
that's what I like about Texas
Kinda enjoyed the first chapter though despite the length, it was pretty brief on context and the premise hasn't quite cemented itself to much yet.
Lots of pages used to emphasis the passing of time and the MCs strong will power.
Boichi is a good artist but he feels a bit wasted here.
I wonder if the fact that the main character came into contact with a stone pigeon got him "infected" by a different strain, the one that affects only animals, and will be a factor to explain why he managed to wake up. He could have passed that dormant disease/immunity to his scientist friend by contact. The author had to include the stone pigeon event for a reason.
>>154138227
Then why didn't the girl wake up?
>>154138464
She could wake up in a few months or years, I assume it's not an exact thing.
>>154128152
HAHAHAHA HOW IS INSANITY REAL HAHAHAHA JUST KEEP COUNTING NIGGA LIKE NIGGA MAKE A CALENDAR HAHA
>>154139963
What I don't get is that the only way counting would actually help you is if you could control when you break out. Maybe that will be revealed next chapter.
