Anyways, it would be pretty cool to have an anime that follows a squad of german soldiers on the eastern front, starting with the invasion of the Soviet Union and following that squad during the first winter, the harsh battles around Stalingrad and Leningrad, and finally their retreat back to Germany and the final battle in Berlin 1945.

It would be a pretty grim anime, showing the squad having to take hard decisions and having them witness their brothers in arms be killed one by one while retreating back to their fatherland, knowing that the Red Army is right behind them, but mainly focused on the soldiers and their lives, why they fight and so on. Maybe they fight for the Reich, maybe they enlisted just because they had no choice, maybe they truly believe in the ideology, or maybe some of them were just young boys who fell for the propaganda and saw the war as a grand adventure.

I wouldn't mind seeing a story based around a German Nazi officer who is driven to a singular goal. Uniting all of Europe under one flag. The character would be ruthless when it comes to his/her goal but they wouldn't be needlessly cruel. They would be fully aware of the holocaust and all of the atrocities committed on both sides but wouldn't get bogged down with 'muh moral faggotry.' Instead they would use any tool at their disposal for that single minded goal. Act one would be about their rise to power, through betrayals, murder and tenuous alliances. Act two would be winning the war against the whole world. Act three would be governing and holding on to the original goal at all cost. There would be many internal betrayals and the character would have to make many tough decisions but would always be driven by logic and not emotion. In the end the character would eventually step away from the new country he/she created and fade into obscurity. The character will die penniless on a street corner and no one will recognize him/her. Eventually buried in an unmarked grave.
