I honestly prefer villain who are evil just because. These over-the-top melodramatic animu backstories are pure cancer.

Teach because he has a more interesting past.

Also with the subjectivity of morality in One Piece, Oda did a good job writing him to be the most antagonistic force to the main crew but not necessarily the most evil force in the series. There are other pirate crews that have done far worse.

Also his crew is arguably more interesting than himself which is a good thing.

The way he parallels and also opposes Luffy thematically is interesting. They both hold similar ideals but their methodology is where they mostly clash.

We also get to see him rise to power, being introduced from literally floating on a raft with a relatively small-time crew into a world power. This lends him to be more of a rival as well, instead of just a straight "badguy".

Although they have some rough edges, mostly the Dragons, but we don't know why they still hold so much power, the Marine and the WG are usually shown to do much more good than bad.

Blackbeard, he's literally the only real pirate in the series. He has no moral dilemmas and does everything he can to put himself ahead. I can't say anything beyond that because his panel/screentime has been relatively limited.

Aizen was almost good. He fell short because when it came time to reveal his motivation for all his actions...we got nothing. I mean, there were hints about some kind of bigger picture but as far as I remember we didn't get any information.

Obito might have been a good villain, I'm not sure though since the 2nd half of Shippuden really just fucking shit on the entire series. His fight with Kakashi was kinda rad though.

Teach is simply a competing pirate, and in a world where the main character is arguably a criminal... you can't really fault him for that. His actions lead to Ace's death, but it was never about that for him. Akainu hurt Luffy more directly.

Naruto was basically a nesting doll of villains who were "but I can stop the cycle of violence" only to be replaced by a bigger bad who was "actually pulling the strings".

Bleach built up Aizen so much that they had nothing to do but bullshit him and let him flicker out.

Blackbeard just kind of comes and goes. We know he wanted the Black-Black fruit for it being the most powerful, we know that he only became a Warlord just so he could break people out, and we know that he has the D initial. But exactly what else? That he worked with Whitebeard? That was a ploy. That he wants the One Piece? Hell if I know if that is what he wants. He could be after the 100 Year History Gap. He's not been around enough to actually have an established character other than "I'm the closest thing to a Pirate you will actually get"

Obito was a villain who was way too obvious from the beginning when he was introduced as "Tobi" and became Naruto Anakin Skywalker. His backstory was filled with holes and his dialogue was just being whiney for the sake of being whiney. He would have at least had the grace of being the final villain if he hadn't been replaced by the invincible Madara Uchiha who then was replaced by Kaguya. Obito was by far the weakest villain.

Aizen had a set motivation and at least several reasons for wanting to kill Soul King (I can change this world for the better, I wish not to be ruled by such petty idiots from high up, I have a superiority complex). In fact, Kubo said that he wishes to avoid revealing EVERYTHING about him so that Aizen doesn't become like Darth Vader did in the Star Wars Prequels. However, Aizen began to dick around and just troll for the sake of trolling.

Out of the 3, I would have to say Aizen because Teach hasn't been placed upon enough time to really give us anything and Obito became a huge joke of a villian that the author didn't have the decency to end on. That being said, Aizen still has problems.

Obito's kind of like Sasuke except not unintentionally hilarious. Whereas Sasuke ended up being the best main character solely for that reason, Obito was just a chore to put up with.

BlackBeard I was really intrigued by at first. I loved his speech he made to Luffy back in Jaya Island but as the series progressed he just became more generic to me. However One Piece hasn't ended yet so I can't fully judge BlackBeard until at the very least, he's been beaten.

Aizen the main problem with him is that we never really get to find out, exactly why he did all the shit he did. The reveal was great, he was vastly entertaining but his motive wasn't very clear.

I'd have to go with Aizen because he was the most fun to watch on-screen.

Motivations and backstory are just two parts of a character. Kishimoto rode on sob stories for his major villains but since every damn character has a sob story, Obito's is lame given the scale of what he's doing as a result of it. He also oversympathized with them because they're all technically victims in the end. Oda also has backstories for his villains that can be pretty sad, but he doesn't make your heart bleed for them and there's no one 'misguided', no child having to tell an adult they're not living their life correctly.

Madara made sense, the war is eternal (as demonstrated by boruto), so giving everyone a dream world and death works. His hate boner for the other guy was just jealously, the pricks were so powerful that the rest of the world decided to chime in, instead of letting the two strongest just duke it out and let him get over it. But lolBunny happened.

Aizen would be the best, but the series was canned and all potential was lost. Imply he's aware of how the worlds work and function, powerful enough to try and change them, get slapped by a kid because too arrogant to think that the very science experiment you worked on could turn out stronger than you, then have a melt down. Seemingly prepare for the next stage of the game and then nothing ever comes of everything set up. How'd he get back in the chair after the finale anyway. Who is the new SK.

One series is ongoing and hasn't dealt with final boss, the other two had entertaining villains but both squandered them.
