It made no sense that the 9 tails was so much more powerful than the rest and I mean not just slightly more powerful but it was stronger than all put together.

Powerlevel dissodance. To explain it away Kishimoto said that the beasts are stronger depending on how many tails they have, but even with that fact in mind Kurama is FAR beyond the powerlevel of all the other beasts combined.
You also need to remember that apparantly Minato sealed the "dark half" of Kurama inside his soul when he died or some nonsensical shit, so the 9-tailed beast that was far above and beyond all the other tailed beasts was still only at half power.
Kishimoto could not resist felating his protagonist.
The other jinchuuriki were all at a reasonable level of power. So don't hate them for being weak compared to Naruto/Kurama, hate Naruto/Kurama for being stupidly powerful.
