>This kills the gay
Thank you, based Julietta.
>You are now aware the Julia has legs inside it's bigger legs
Friendly reminder that nobody figured out that Yagami is an anagram for "I am gay".
Rustal is the villain IBO needed.
>Always in control
>Most morally gray character because he uses every underhanded trick but represents order
>Maneuvers around his enemies with nothing but political and strategic expertise
>Operates both in and out of the law
>Incredibly charismatic and threatening
Right now he's basically carrying the show.
>competent and respectable enemy
>not 'ourguys' winning all the time like that retarded Seedshit
>facing an overwhelming enemy with the sense of the approaching mayhem
When did you realise IBO is the best Gundam?
>competent and respectable
>Hey look! They have a forbidden weapon! It's only one random ass shot that we retreated before, but it's totally theirs and now we have justification!
>Everyone, prepare the 600 shot volley!
>On no! How could we have foreseen this strategy that they've literally already used against our people before!
The protagonists being retarded doesn't make him competent, and he's sure as hell not respectable.
Feels like my prediction that most of Tekkadan will perish is all but confirmed.
Fuck this. Shino didn't deserve to die.
Seed is trash and all but most of the antagonists were great.
I genuinely chuckled.
He is respectable because he's actually a fucking threat. He is not an incompetent nogunz put in a glory position due to some shit his ancestors did, like Carta. He is not a mustache-twirling villain, like Brewers or those fags Crank and Ein belonged to. You can actually see why Rustal is where he is, his presence is felt across the entire season and he represents all of Gjallarhorn's shadiness and corruption while at the same time you are also shown how he does what he does because he is their lynchpin holding the whole world together. Rustal isn't some delusional idealist, or an old man who lost his edge long ago or some conflicted drama queen. He is a guy who long ago accepted he was a villain, revels in it, plays the game to perfection exploiting all advantages and targeting every weakness. And above all, he's entertaining. That's why Rustal is the man.
Also the last time Dainsleifs were fielded it was by Iok and he was chastised for it. That may have led everyone to believe Rustal wouldn't use it.
Oh shit. I've finally come to realise what's missing from this show
>SEED had mostly great antagonists
>Posts the shittiest antagonist
Gilbert Doorandel literally wanted to genetically enslave everybody with the plot of Tales of the Abyss because he got cucked 20 years ago and he thought that if his future had been structured due to his genetic potential he'd have never met that chick and been disappointed.
If you posted the pic of Creuset then I would've agreed a bit. But, come on, Durandal was a faggot
>cockblocking a man's hot-blooded sacrifice
That's just bad manners
The word you're looking for is cunning, not respectable, and even then you're still completely wrong because he only looks semi-competent because his oppositions consists of a bunch of retards propped up by Mika and Guts railing every enemy they fight.
>He is a guy who long ago accepted he was a villain, revels in it, plays the game to perfection exploiting all advantages and targeting every weakness. And above all, he's entertaining. That's why Rustal is the man.
There's no way that you own less than 5 fedoras and are over the age of 18.
Rau was fantastic from start to finish. Durandal not so much, even though he was a great political villain.
he was going to miss from the beginning thanks to Iok
If Julietta has sex with Gali does it mean she's doing it also with Ain?
shit does look ery bad for her, but Carta survived worse.
maybe Tekkadan will have to retreat since they lost a fuckton of troops, their second vessel and their only way to blow up Rustal's thing.
Rau was great but I was really hoping that the reason he was so much of a misanthrope was due to him being a cloning defect or whatever it was. It would have lent some much needed legitimacy to those who opposed coordinators and fucking with genes. Instead he was just crazy.
What would Char do in this situation?
What cunning? What super clever thing has he done? He's just a dick who recycled Iok's cheating strategy. He's shown absolutely no actual cunning unless you're the kind of idiot who thinks that someone being calm and smug while all their enemies act like retards qualifies battle prowess.
>Gali's crew are the good guys
>Gali just want revenge
>Julia wants please old man
>Rustal is just the real state of Gallajhorn, corruption
>Iok just only doing shit but his plot armor still working.
Same shit shit like Tekkadan or MacGills
kill it with fire
He is the one that fucked over Dort, he locked Tekkadan into gorilla warfare for months which led to the destruction of Earth Branch and made McGillis look like shit. Now he's stomping McGillis in ship combat.
>He is the one that fucked over Dort, he locked Tekkadan into gorilla warfare for months which led to the destruction of Earth Branch
Which literally fucking hinged on the acting commander being an incompetent retard the entire time.
>Now he's stomping McGillis in ship combat.
Yes, he's managed to outsmart the guy whose plan boiled down to "I'll get the super awesome OC Gundam and then they'll HAVE to obey me!" by literally reusing a strategy that they've already seen, but somehow didn't prepare for.
Again, having your enemies act like retards doesn't make you smart, it just means the writer is too stupid to figure out how to actually write a smart character.
If you're expecting deft realistic political intrigue maybe you shouldn't be watching Gundam. If your complaint is "bawww his enemies are retarded" then how did you even get this far when all of S1 was Tekkadan dunking on retards?
If you actually think McGillis is going to fulfill a single one of his election promises you're as deluded as his in-universe supporters.
The best he'll do is lower the age of consent.
>F-Fuck you Gundam is shit anyways so it's ok for it to be retarded!
You IBOfags need to be gassed.
>how did you even get this far when all of S1 was Tekkadan dunking on retards?
There are plenty of people who want to watch all the Gundam series through to completion even if they don't like them.
I liked it. The preview and twitter posts made it obvious that Shino was going to die and there was no way he'd be the one to kill Rustal so I totally expected him to have a melodramatic death like Lockon from 00 but the way it played out was pretty damn good.
So you are watching a 50 episode show you don't like, where you think every character is shit or retarded, in a franchise you do not enjoy, and you're bitching that Rustal "isn't actually smart guys he's just using basic common sense and everyone else is stupid?"
You're not helping yourself.
Where were you when Kamille became a man's name?
>maybe you're just expecting too much
>So you're completely right about him being a shit character and everyone being retarded, but you expect that to matter when I'm telling you that I actually like eating shit?
Way to actually stay on topic about the show and refute what I said.
So who exactly are the bad guys in the show?
They try to paint chocoguy as a huge pedo and a villain but it seems like Rustal is the real bad guy.
Uses illegal weapons to slaughter girls and now little boys. How can anyone even defend them?
Why is Gaelio such a little worm of a man, denouncing McGillis while being the lapdog of a corrupt, manipulative, scheming asshole
inb4 "Muh Carta"
everyone is a dick
Orga is a warmonger who doesn't really care who gets fucked or how many people have to die for him and his family to get rich
McGillis got everyone who cared about him killed to become a tyrant
Rustal commits several war crimes and causes the deaths of fuckloads of people "to keep order"
Corrupt Gjalahron, are people forgetting this entire thing started because Gjalahorn was complicity in exploiting Mars and keeping it a famished colony?
The Human Debris are a direct result of Gjalahorns actions.
You are watching a show where everyone is retarded, and you don't like that show, and you don't even like the franchise the show is from, and for the last 45 episodes of this show you don't like in the franchise you don't like, every single character has been massively fucking stupid except this one character, and you're complaining that "he's not REALLY that smart guys."
Seriously you are just whining.
You're trying to have an argument about the show, but you're literally incapable of making a point, so you bitch and moan that if I don't like the show that I shouldn't watch it.
You're a fucking retard. Either make an actual point or fuck off.
>So who exactly are the bad guys in the show?
Why are you looking for 'bad guys' in the first place? Don't you just realise that's not how things usually work in reality? No wonder bunch of manchildren are going buttmad at IBO. They've got to just grow up already
Stop this you retards.
The first introduction to Gjalahorn was them going to murder Kudelia to prevent the independence of Mars
They were the bad guys from day one of the series.
Threadly reminder that none of these would've happened had Biskit been alive
It was kind of clear he would miss due to the prior scene where we see him aiming the his shot. It's almost always a sign.
I do feel bad for my boy Shino having to go with such suffering, though.
Is this cutie still alive? I haven't watched an episode since the first season,
Because corrupt system is better than no system at all
Why am I gonna bother making the point when you're watching a show you hate, which is part of the Gundam franchise of which you have watched apparently everything in it even though you think the franchise sucks too, but you continue to watch it?
There's plenty of shows I don't like and if I don't like them I stop watching. I don't subject myself to all 600 episodes of Naruto or whatever and then come to the threads time and time again to bitch that Naruto is stupid.
You are doing that and saying "debate me even though I don't care because this show is shit and I hate it and don't even like Gundam." What's the point? You're already clearly a retard and it's not going to change.
I mean you even say you think the show is shit but then claim that "at least you know it's not filet." I don't think it's filet either, which is why I go in with low expectations and still try to enjoy it for what it is. And I have fun with it.
You don't. You clearly think you're too smart for the show and smarter than everyone who watches the show. You don't enjoy this. All you do is whine. Why are you here? To pick fights like a shithead?
Seriously, you're a sad guy.
>Why is Gaelio such a little worm of a man
>he spent most of season 2 just staring at Vidar in a hanger and conversing with Julietta and majority of season 1 fruitlessly chasing after a bunch of Martian underage paupers and wanting to straight up murder them for an incredibly petty reason and behaved like a 2-year-old child with severe mental problems when McGillis said that Mikazuki was a better pilot and for that reason he beat him.
>Mika kills Carta and Ein
Gaelio doesn't seem too worried about it in 2nd seasson.
>Mika appeared in front of Gaelio
He behaved as if nothing out of the ordinary was happening. If Mika had not taken the initiative to attack it, he would have just stood there like a statue, admiring Choco and thinking about MUH McGillis and his MUH Revenge on McGillis.
I think they realized Mika is actually really boring because he always wins wither zero emotion, which is why he had that "oh shit" look and was unsure fighting Gali-Ein and now this episode he's distressed when he thinks Orga might have died and has that shocked reaction when he couldn't stop Julietta from slapping Shino's shot off target. They are trying to show he has some actual stake in what's going on now and is affected.
And I love it because fuck Mika.
What do you expect a next Gundam will be about?
Just for your reference, we've had so far juvenile almighty idealist (Seed), a bunch of space guerrillas (00), a saga of the snobbery elite family (AGE), and literally a teen mafia band (IBO) now
I hope the monkey makes it to live a civilian life
He was about to die prematurely due to puberty because he just turned 13 years of age, his pills stopped having an effect on him to slow down his rapid aging.
Of course he went fucking insane. Rau's whole character is that he is the filthy little mistake the Cosmic Era created by exploring genetic tampering and the finale is his retribution on mankind for venturing where no man should tread.
>You are doing that and saying "debate me even though I don't care because this show is shit and I hate it and don't even like Gundam." What's the point? You're already clearly a retard and it's not going to change.
That's not what happened at all. He never said he doesn't like Gundam, you literally just said that "All Gundam series are retarded, so stop expecting anything more than retardation."
You're arguing like an idiot.
Rustal is great. The whole sequence with him incriminating McGillies for using illegal weapons then bringing out his own squad of banned weapons was so shameless it was beautiful.
I want him to win so bad.
I'm not arguing at all because there's no point in "arguing" with a guy who sits through 50 episodes of a show he doesn't even like where everyone's been stupid for 2 seasons complaining "hey these characters are stupid."
>I'm not arguing at all because there's no point
No, you literally said
>If you're expecting deft realistic political intrigue maybe you shouldn't be watching Gundam. If your complaint is "bawww his enemies are retarded" then how did you even get this far when all of S1 was Tekkadan dunking on retards?
You just admitted that he was right, but claimed (falsely) that the entire franchise is retarded so it's ok. You're an idiot.
I want him to win too. For me it's because I'm sick and tired of a white guy with funny blonde hair running amok messing up literally everything with bullshit claim of making Gjallarhorn great again or whatever
And when you (retard) admitted that everyone in the show is retarded and that you shouldn't expect anything other than retardation, you gave up any right to pretend that you're making a point.
They tease this ship pretty hard in the promo stuff.
But given how Yamagi and Shino turned out, I'm not going for Okada's wild ride again after just getting off.
I'd like them both to live, but I doubt it hard.
>Good job admitting you were samefagging.
Why are you doing this? This is the second time you've failed to make a point, then just kicked and screamed about pretend that you somehow won the argument.
>being angry at best girl for protecting papa
>not being angry at Shino for retardedly jumping into a hale of bullets when he could have evaded
>dat dopey eyes
Which position do you think Julietta prefers when having sex?
Blame Mika too, dude had to only cover him.
Why wasn't he present from the start? Most of the villains were generic douchebags who got Mika'd compared to a charismatic, scheming prick like him?
If he was built up more in S1, then it wouldn't be as bad.
>The only thing he changed so far was put his ass on the throne.
He is yet to win.
>And none of his actions indicate that his interests go any farther than this.
So far he didn't show any vices, and in first season was genuinely disgusted by attempted bribery. He also doesn't go into brothel or have harem of shotas, nor he owns mercenaries who steer shit up to remain in power.
>GaliGali wants revenge on McGillis and is jealous of Isurugi
>Rustal is a corrupt old man that has no remorse using forbidden weapons, killing children to continue the corrupt system
Yeah but I don't see them retreating after it's been established over and over again that Orga and the higher orphans have a fucked up codependend relationship build on always moving forward seen in this very episode by them stopping him from retreating .
They're far more likely to get heavily decimated than fleeing
Choco guy is the /ourguy/.
Poor guy just want to change the corrupted world and make his love legal
Will we ever find out why the fuck Shino and Yamagi got so shafted in screen time?
I don't even know how these scenes hit me so hard.
I usually don't ship stuff and thy were such poor characters, I don't understand.
RATS AND FAGS OUT
It's not like people were expecting a 24 episodes romance, most people expect a some background scenes here and there. This episode was quite more romantic too and they are tertiary characters too.
>Japan is not ready for a canon homo relationship onscreen in a mainstream anime.
Nigga, it's not saudi arabia.
Eva was 10 years ago and you got stuff like N.6, Yoi and 3.0.
Yamagi and Shino are secondary enough for them to get away with the homo and it's not like people were expecting anything explicit.
I don't buy the "homo" excuse given, especially because Eugene also got demoted to extra.
Except support the use of illegal weapons to kill unarmed people fleeing from battle, and letting his own stupid pride blind him to the point that he resurrected an ancient evil monster.
Holy shit, I just realized Iok has the same ability as Patrick Colasour
Anon's original statement was
>Iok has literally never done anything morally wrong
I won't even get into how misguided ideals are the most dangerous beliefs of all, but what that anon said is flat out wrong.
Why are there so many damn similarities to 00.
>Child soldier protagonists
>Guy who got fucked in the ass antagonists
>Shino and Lockons death
>Orga and Sumeragi as these not actually fighting but all according to keikaku people
>Gundams were made hundreds of years ago
>not being a space rat apologist makes me into obama
>Preaching about peace, justice and doing the right thing while actually condoning the use of of horrible instruments of death to further an unjust war fueled by personal interest of some elites
I mean, yeah. You're Obama.
There are quite a few shows out there that have canon homo pairing. That's why I think it might be Gundam's policy or production to not have one in their series.
A lot of the IBO seiyuu shipped Shino/Yamagi. The director itself introduced the storyline of Yamagi being in love with Shino. Their seiyuu (Murata and Souma) were pretty up for it, especially Shino's seiyuu was rooting harder for the pairing than any fujo in Japan. The scenes they got in this episode were the same as any hetero pairing in this situation would get. So it's up to the staff if they want a homo pairing in their Gundam or not.
>Amida talking about love making her stronger
>this episode with Julietta's obsession with Rustal-sama
Think I might have a clue on what McGillis' trump card is with Bael.
The reason he needs Helmwhatever functional and his soldiers in one place is probably so that Bael can assume direct control over the Grazes in his fleet. It's really the only sensible reason Bael seems built with solely mobility in mind and why it's so underequipped for their founder's suit.
>Wants to put end to Choco Char delusions
>Treats child SOLDIERS as an actual treat
>Puts down a member of a criminal organization
In 00 the gundams werent made hundreds of years ago, only Setsuna and Allelujah if you are really reaching were child soldiers, Ribbons whole deal isnt escapism because he got fucked in the ass and Orga is an incompetent planner that cant see the disadvantages of whatever he's thinking.
Why does no one seem to understand that it was only one way gay. There was no ship. If shino even felt remotely the same way he would have tapped that already like he had every hooker on mars
By the same logic, Guts/Lafter is not a ship as well because only Lafter had romantic feelings for him. People are gonna ship what they feel like it especially if there is canon basis from one of the character's feelings.
this the soul of the founder of gjallarhorn, Agnika Kaere chose him.
Literally any argument you have against him is invalid.
Greek era setting in which all the Gundam's are named after the gods. And in which Titan's are the Zakus of this universe.
All mobile suits use melee and are hidden away around Greece. Big bad villain pilots the Titan, Chronos and so forth.
I hope the last few episodes will be the moment for gundam to unlock actual special abilities. It'd make sense for them to have some nobody knows about, and it would be a nice, if traditional, gimmick for the climax.
>Why does no one seem to understand that it was only one way gay. There was no ship. If shino even felt remotely the same way he would have tapped that already like he had every hooker on mars
That's not how shipping work.
Honestly, we could discuss whatever Shino would have accepted Yamagi's feeling forever.
But the way their last scene played and the emphasis it puts on the fact he hasn't confessed yet, I'm going to say yes. It feels similar to what a lot of het couple get.
How is twitter reaction? I know they are pretty big into the pairing.
>How does this make you feel, /a/?
It was anti-climactic anyway, they COULD have actually done what victory did, it'd still have been cheap and hollow but actually having the crew of that ship evacuate all but a few would have allowed there to be some real emotion instead of the manufactured drama-bait.
Hell it would have even been vaguely thematic because it would have been like their "bold strategy" from season 1 except this time there's a real cost to it. If they'd talked that bit up it might have even managed emotional legitimacy.
Shino is alive, screenshot this.
Either that or we get the reincarnation ending.
specially with such a shitty motivation
>Gali is putting Rustal in charge just for revenge, who is way more dangerous than McChoco, doesn't even agree with Rustal's ideals, spent Season 1 fighting against the corruption Rustal stood for
>His Gundam is powered by a man who devoted his time to hunt down civilians who his superior failed to massacre in an attempted illegal raid
>Julietta wants to kill people to make RUSTAL HAPPY
Yes. Please. GIVE IT
let the bullshit end so we can get on to the next Gundam
>Be a jaded homo that never gets investing in anything because I'm used to getting bitten back
>Decide to get invested in Yamagi/Shino
I don't know what to do with these feelings. I'm not used to emotions.
I'm watching because they occasionally spring a half way decent bit of choreography out of their ass.
I find it quite funny that in this episode they just decided to throw away the feel of every fight in the series until now and now the guns are acting like beam weapons though. Man fuck this series, it's done literally nothing but Bael's design right. It didn't even have a satisfying Char rival.
This is what today's episode would have felt like if they had even 3 braincells between the entire staff of this show.
honestly season 2 has been massively idiotic. I have a hard time believing Mikazuki couldn't contain that dumb bitch when it's his one and only mission to keep Flauros untouched... especially since Flauros has gone by unnoticed and is away from the others. This series just sets people up in idiotic situations and idiotic decisions whenever it wants to kill off a likable character, hoping it's drama... I actually like Mika as a main character and some of the mech designs but as a show, I've had enough of this shit.
do like Shino and kill yourself
>Choco is nice enough not to drop a space station onto his enemies
>His enemies use war-treaty banned weapons against him
Chocho should start his own TITANs or something and gas Rustal and the other corrupt government fags.
It probably was for a better dramatic shot but we do usually see the bodies of the Tekkadan members who die. Which in this case, we did not.
Now, there was a lot of blood on that scene which took place in space so I highly doubt he made it, however he is best boy so I will leave a small portion of hope placed as screencap anon is doing.
>Shino charging ahead like a retard after his shot missed
>somehow it's Juli's fault that he died
But /a/ told me they were the director's OTP.
>Betrays people and screws them
>Indoctrination and mass propoganda
>200% INCREASE IN CHILD SOLDIERS, WAR ECONOMY FLOURISHING
People are screwed either way.
The one time I'm aware of that a director overstepped Okada was Aquareon EVOL, and that was a fucking catastrophe. If Okada is writing the series, expect nothing but bad writing and ragebait.
Do you realize that after Tekkadan scored victories over Gjallarhorn in S1 it led to more local warlords breaking off from Gjallarhorn's influence and raising child soldier armies, inspired by Tekkadan's success?
If Tekkadan and McGillis win it'll be total anarchy.
>Fucking Shino rage quit like a fucking bitch losing at a match of FIFA
>If Tekkadan and McGillis win it'll be total anarchy.
Do you mean anarchy in the show or anarchy in /a/ and /m/?
>Do you mean anarchy in the show or anarchy in /a/ and /m/?
Why do you have to fucking do this
Every fucking board what are the fuck reasons? Dragging in politics just to rile shit up its fucking cancerous man
It provides nothing to the thread man its just annoying
Azee comes in to save Atra she joins the Turbines as she raises Mikas autismo seed. Said seed is a girl and has mikas autismo genes meaning she is able to 4 of the AV system implants
>Gaelio is literally a bottom bitch fighting to protect the corruption he hates
>Calls McGillis' allies pawns while he hangs out with top pawn Julietta
Top kek, he might have well have died.
Have fun being a drone, chaos is the breath of life that animates us all.
Only through chaos can mindkind evolve, the moment we stagnate we stop being human and might as well die off as a shell of out former selves.
don't tell him to watch Zeta. We both know that Zeta is shit.
IBO is worse than bad, it's continually mediocre.
A bad show at least has something we can generally point at and go "man that made me feel something" but IBO is just this continual stream of FUCKING NOTHING. And what's worse is that it constantly looks like it's about to try and set something up so that there might be some real emotion, or organic drama and then nah it just drops it.
Like, the fact that the 2 main characters are almost identical to how they were at the start tells us just how much has really happened during this show.
>watched 0079 because of it and loved it.
>excited to watch zeta.
>It is hot garbage.
What went wrong?
Amida was, probably, the best not AV pilot out there and was without doubt the one with more experience before her ded, unless some random asspull Gjallarhorn secret ace. Mike is very good, he has skill, Av,reaction time etc, but he doesn't have all the amida experience fighting in space.
>nobody talking about the death of Liza
the real tragedy this episode
>lawfags in charge of having shit taste.
I am not suprised.
But, no. Zeta is good, I don't think it's as good as 0079, some people do, but it's a well thought out and well written show and Char's development is very subtle throughout.
He was literally the Gjallarhorn equivalent of a butthurt college hipster "communist." You can picture him sitting with his MacBook Air in a shirt with a fist on it going "and like, like, Rustal Elion is everything wrong with the system, maaaaayne"
REMOVE TEKKADAN remove tekkadan
you are worst rat. you are the rat idiot you are the rat smell. return to mars. to our martian cousins you may come our planet. you may live in the zoo….ahahahaha ,mcgillis we will never forgeve you. pedophile rascal FUck but fuck asshole space rat stink tekkadan sqhipere shqipare..
>shelter wanted person
At that point Kudelia wasn't actually wanted by Gjallarhorn. She was a high profile political target who had gone into hiding and more like a person of interest for Gjallarhorn to keep tabs on. Then Nobliss handed Coral a big bag of money and told him to go kill her because he wanted to start a war with Kudelia as a martyr. I doubt CGS would have taken the job if they knew it would be against Gjallarhorn either. When Gjallarhorn showed up they were basically pissing their pants and trying to run away.
If it had been a justified and legal raid Coral wouldn't have been trying to cover it up so badly and trying to smooth things over when Gaelioa and McGillis were doing their audit.
>Char's development is very subtle throughout.
Char and Amuro were great in it, and so were MOST of the returning characters, but I could barely stand any of the new characters with a few exceptions.
too bad Char became an ass again during CCA.
Yeah, things don't even get bad until ZZ.
But if anybody tells you ZZ is good, they're /m/ incarnate and the public health act makes it your civic duty to kill them immediately.
ok you are Orga now, your ship is sitting right in front of the bulk of enemy fleet and their dainslefs, the ship you were using as a shield is down, one of your gundams is down, you only have mika, guts and some grunts
WHAT DO YOU DO?
This guy just saved IBO.When was the last time we had a competent villain in Gundam.
>you only have mika, guts
>Pick up radio
"Mika, start killing the archers, Guts, use all of your arms to grab their Dainsleif's and start shooting. Chocopedo, if you can actually do anything, do it now. Also, Mika, they made Atra cry because she's scared."
>Put down radio and go find Atra to tell her to make dinner
That's the thing, it is pretty avarage, there's a lot of technically well constructed stuff going on and it does a bunch of things that works... and then it doesn't do anything with them. It's not like the characters they've created are bad, they just don't -do- anything. It's not like the story is bad it's just that it barely even comes into play, it's not that the choreography is bad it's just that they never do any of it.
zz is fun, it's not the best show and has problems specifically at the start and end but it's not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be.
Well maybe the federation should have paid attention to what he said at Dakkar.
>Rustal takes Iok with him so his plot armor can protect him
>shot that would have ended the show right there misses conveniently
>there's a lot of technically well constructed stuff going on and it does a bunch of things that works.
This is completely and utterly false.
>It's not like the characters they've created are bad
Kudelia was an absolutely horrible character, and everyone in season 2 has just been sitting around being stupid and easy to fool. Chocoman, the on possibly decent character, turned out to be a stupid manchild who is literally (literally) butthurt about his childhood and thinks a magic OC gundam makes him the space king.
>It's not like the story is bad
It is. It is very bad.
>Well maybe the federation should have paid attention to what he said at Dakkar.
If he cared that much he shouldn't have fucked off after the end of zeta when AEG needed him the most.
The only time Char takes action is when he gets butthurt when people do stuff that he doesn't like.
If he just played politics from the start like Haman did, maybe he could have actually made difference, since he cared so much.
>zz is fun,
Not even a little.
>it's not the best show and has problems specifically at the start and end
And the middle. And everything that isn't the desert arc.
>but it's not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be.
It's actually worse, especially considering how it's supposed to conclude Zeta.
>This is completely and utterly false.
You should exemplify your points.
No Kudelia was a competant "sheltered blank slate" but then instead of absorbing things as their journey went on she instead remained static and then was quietly written out of the show pretty much for season 2.
And I'm sorry that a character is influenced by the most important developmental stage of their life?
He played politics when it was clear that he would need to, the Federation wouldn't have let him become a staple political figure on earth, they spent how long making sure Amuro didn't go around doing that? you think they would have let Char do it freely?
Char gave them and the AEUG time to try and change things, in the end nothing happened, nothing changed, so he decided to take things into his own hands because he no longer had any faith that people would do it on their own.
>I have literally no idea on how will McGillis even betray tekkadan at this point.
i know it's idiotic to get angry at a villain's methods but this just pisses me off to no fucking end
you'd figure people would question afterwards (if they won) why he had 50+ fucking illegal weapons prepared "in case" the enemy used them, but i guess nobody would dare question him anyway
fuck i hate rustal
>Now listen closely
>Here's a little lesson in trickery
>This is going down in history
>If you wanna be a Villain Number One
>You have to chase a superhero on the run
Is Kudelia going to manage to do something?
Is she going to save them with some surprise reinforcements she used diplomacy to get? Is there even any other force that could help at this point?
>master plan is the exact same thing Iok did to Naze
>just with an added "T-They did it first. It was t-totally them not me. H-Honest."
You don't understand! The organization full of evil, corrupt, stupid adults who make backroom deals with terrorists, frame colony revolts, children, and idealistic blondes, and start whole wars just to fuck with each other were the good guys all along
I'm usually an IBO defender but Kudelia was cancer and she almost killed the show. Writing her out of S2 was the best decision anyone on the staff ever made. I can't think of many worse "mecha princesses".
I like how -SOMEHOW- despite literally having an organisation of child soldiers there hasn't been a single "man fuck the older generation" moment, like, one of the most common staple themes of gundam, completely gone in a show with brutalised child soldiers. This is how little they feel like they've put in to this show.
I can list a lot of stuff that IBO does that deserve to knock it down to bad.
At most S2 is floating between bad and average while S1 is hitting rock bottom.
The most interesting thing IBO did was Hashmal and even then it made me wish this whole show was about the Calamity war instead of the shitshow we got.
>You should exemplify your points.
You made an allusion to nonspecific plot points and said "good ones exist" How the fuck do I expound on that unless you list them specifically? Are you actually retarded? (that's a rhetorical question, don't answer)
>No Kudelia was a competant
No she was not. She showed absolutely no cunning political or military prowess or real leadership skills during the series at any point. Your statement is objectively false. You also can't spell words.
Except he split the fleet first, the younger inexperienced revolutionaries from the more experienced officers betraying.
THEN he had his man with McGillis' fleet open fire with the Dainsleif to justify his massacre.
He played it cool and smart, just admit it.
He only played politcs when it was already, too late you can't expect things to change in your favor when you do absolutely nothing.
He of all people should know that he and Blex where the only ones in charge of AEUG that were really into that, gravity is weighing down our souls philosophy.
Amuro was just a soldier not a political leader.
If he actually tried to do stuff before it was too late he might have made a difference.
After the titans where gone the feddies were basically licking haman's boots.
Who says they wouldn't do the same with him after she diesd.
I love Julietta
Also love how the past 3 episodes have been wrecking McGillis. He shit himself and turned around to fight Gaelio instead of charging.
>you'd figure people would question afterwards (if they won) why he had 50+ fucking illegal weapons prepared "in case" the enemy used them
Just like people might ask questions about why the supposed maiden of the revolution is actually a retard, or why Gjalahorn was ready to slaughter the revolters after a convenient grenade snuck through their defense line during peace negations.
>I can list a lot of stuff that IBO does that deserve to knock it down to bad.
Then do it. Or pick like 1 or 2 and discuss them.
She was cancer because she never moved beyond point A. She sat there defiant like the rest of the cast. At most Orga managed to move maybe an inch away from it but that's it, that's the most character development we've had.
It's like if Relena never had any of the moments where she questioned her commitment to pacifism.
He left his general to fight Gaelio while he was going to lead them on a charge with Bael.
He turned around with the excuse that he can't leave his general behind after clearly getting scared shitless
>Except he split the fleet first, the younger inexperienced revolutionaries from the more experienced officers betraying.
Except that was a blatantly obvious ploy and doesn't actually mean anything, and Tekkadan is just as good, if not better on the battlefield and has done objectively more than the "vets" have in this fight.
>THEN he had his man with McGillis' fleet open fire with the Dainsleif to justify his massacre.
Except all that does is open the door to the question "If you're going to come up with a coverup, why go with something so flimsy that 10 seconds of thinking punches more holes in your logic than Iok's boys illegally punched in Naze's crew?"
>He played it cool and smart, just admit it.
A stupid person was trying to write a smart character, just admit it.
>You made an allusion to nonspecific plot points and said "good ones exist" How the fuck do I expound on that unless you list them specifically? Are you actually retarded?
I think you might be though, I did give points, then you said you can list times that drag all these things down to being bad, so go on. tell me why the choreography is bad, tell me why you think the characters aren't decent vessels for the narrative in episode 1.
>She showed absolutely no cunning political or military prowess or real leadership skills during the series at any point.
You don't need those to be a competently written sheltered girl. She was a competently delivered starting point but she never moved beyond there. Not everyone needs to actually be in-universe competent to be a competent character narratively.
>She was cancer because she never moved beyond point A
No, she was cancer because she was out of place in the setting and the plot constantly found a way to bend to her will. She wasn't entertaining to watch. She was annoying. Her hair was ugly and her relationship with Mika was shit. She shouldn't have been in the show at all. IBO played itself up as gritty but centered its first season around a wealthy girl giving speeches on peace. No one wanted to see more of her, even if it did provide her with depth.
"Fuck the older generation" was McGillis S1. You'd think GaliGali would be the one to follow through, since he supposedly believed in aspiring to be above the corruption, but he's too busy blindly following Rustal to show that much self-awareness
What's his endgame?
