The manga is really good. Usually manga adaptations of LN are trash rehashes but the manga doesn't pull punches and shows the full brutality of the goblins that the novel glosses over.

The first volume came out in English recently. The manga doesn't miss much but I recommend reading the LN. It's lacking in art pages but if you read the manga they're somewhat redundant.

The manga is better than the LN. Goblin Lsayer's deadpan one liners like "a common mistake for beginners" and "elf fortress, burns nicely" were invented in the manga.

Could be the case, I gave my copy of the novel to a friend so I cant check that now. I believe he does address the burning of the fortress in the LN however. Were those added afterwords?
