First I remember watching was Akira.

First I probably watched but can't remember watching were on Adult Swim like Rurouni Kenshin and Sailor Moon and Dragonball. Can't believe I actually watched so much Sailor Moon though don't even think my sister was with me, I was just into everything they showed indiscriminately I guess, although I only remember tuning in specially for DBZ.

I can't remember anything except that it was about huge animal mechs and that one was a gorilla that beat its chest to make a sonic wave attack or something.

My parents stopped it pretty early through the tape though since it was more violent than what they expected based on the tape case cover (I was pretty young at the time), so I have never been able to figure WTF is was. Had to have been made in the mid 70s to mid 80s I'd guess.

Watched most of Gurren Lagann in an anime club. It caused me to despise dub Kamina, but I grew to appreciate him sounding more like a teen trying to sound like a hero, rather than a guy who sounds like an old hero.
