This show was supposed to be an irreverent edgy hellride. In episode three we had the main cast fighting goofy cartoon nazis, replete with a scene featuring an african and a jew discussing how terrible racism is. What happened?

People primarily remember the waifus exclusively for obvious reasons, as with numerous other equally unimpressive anime. I wouldn't know about the OVAs. I dropped BL on season 1 when I realized they were going to go the "villain of the week" route because they'd given up on including actual writing or story.

The chara design is good, especially the one of the girl, that's what most people remenbered. Their personality is just edgy shit, they could have done so many cool things but nope, every character in this show absolutly HAS to act the way a 13 yo would act if he wanted to look cool and edgy. The fight scenes and the vilains made me cringe so fucking much it was painfull.
