So Ive always said this series this was the first "trapped in an MMORPG" and that everything since I think SAO, NGNL etc are fucking garbage has been pretty much influenced in some way by this series. Thoughts?

This pretty much was the start of the genre. Though this show is more about subtle character interaction and talking. Plus it doesn't fall into cliches, and Tsukasa's character arc is pretty good.
