So recently I've gotten into anime with the help of a friend. I've only seen the newest ones such as Gabriel dropout, Miss Koboyashi's dragon maid( I hope I spelled that right), and Youjo senki. Now I've seen anime before such as like naruto when I was little but never gotten into it after that but I seem to like it. Recently my friend recommended the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, I've heard of it and how hard it is to understand it. Anything I should know before watching it besides spoilers?

If youre serious then start off with some late 90s early 2000s series. Cowboy Bebop, Ah! My Goddess, or Gunsmith Cats. Maybe some movies too, like Ghost inThe Shell. After that tackle the 2deep4u shit like evangelion
