Koume sounds not bad, but way too much like Nico on top of looking way too much like Nico.
Kon's voice isn't bad but is just kind of generic. Same for Nina and Taichou.
Nono's voice is squeaky and kind of grating.
China's voice is a bit higher pitched but sounds authentic unlike Nono. It comes through in many scenes such as the beginning of that time her hair got knotted on koume, when punishing the fox spirit etc. It is like 3x better than the other voices combined. She would sound by far the cutest if you tickled her.

Attention is not always good, look at what happened to Gabriel and maid dragon threads. Why /a/ is generally unaware of how lovely this show is, I dunno. In terms of classic CGDCT character tropes:

Chiya is "The Energetic"
Kon is "The No-Nonsense/The Studious"
Koume is "The Sassy"
Nono is "The Shy"
and Omi is "The Deadpan/The Emotionless"

I said this in an earlier thread, but I think she fits the dynamic quite well. In comedic scenes, she provides another "straight man", a role that Kon often fills, but Kon just as often gets caught up in the antics herself. And she really is more of a classic "straight man" as opposed to a tsukkomi (pic related). There's a lot of humor in the contrast between her deadpan demeanor and everyone else's wildness.

On the more serious/character development front, she's a good counterpart to Kon, who's never had an academic rival in the group before. Not to mention, Omi was trained by Kon's mom, so there's a sense of rivalry there too. I thought it was very good for Kon's development, since they've shown how competitive she is, but she hasn't had anyone to really compete against yet.

Also her backstory is rather endearing. She's sort of similar to Sharo from GochiUsa. Ojou-sama in manner, pauper in actuality.

Eh I'd say they do less belly showing although it's still there. Admittedly I like bellies so I was perfect good with all the belly showing but I do think that the belly showing does at least calm down. As well as I feel like it fits in better in later episodes while the first one has Chiya lifting up her shirt as much possible.

It does have a plot, although a loose one, and personally I really like the characters.
