But that probably won't even be too bad as long as it has a good scaling algorithm and only shows one level at a time. What would really explode a system if you made every texture transparent and set no limits on view distance, assuming everything is modeled.

Blame! was the first Japanese comic I read in full. It took me 3 attempts to get through it in a span of 2 years do to some pacing problems and I found the Silicon creatures to be grotesque.
