Skipping a couple, the last thing I read/watched that had a mc capable of even standing near Kenpachi is Berserk, and due to Kubo's dumb power levels Guts would probably still get one-hit.

Since we're on Kenpachi, I'll use him as an example. Ichigo vs Kenpachi ended in a tie. This would say they're equal in power, with Ichigo's Shikai against zarakis unreleased sword.

Skip ahead to Hueco Mundo. Ichigo needed his Bankai, mask, and a heal to defeat just grimmjow. Nnoitra, ranked a spot above Grimm, could hold his own against Kenpachi, almost killing him if not for dumb Kubo power ups.

Shikai ichigo = Kenpachi
Masked bankai ichigo > grimmjow
Nnoitra > Grimmjow
Kenpachi > Nnoitra

Based on this, ichigo is stronger without bankai or a mask. Or, you could say "lol Kubo" and be done with it
