Nothing's ever really done with it because the focus is always action, action and more action. At most you get Abbacchio's autistic ramblings of Giorno being a scrub, but Fugo leaves too early and then Araki throws Trish in the mix

F.F had a very compelling arc where she went from being this inhuman, unfeeling monster who did shit like murder people and mangle their corpses together to use as temporary vessels to becoming a funny and endearing character who was changed by experiencing the intimacies of being human. She achieved humanity without really having a soul and doesn't belong in the new universe because she doesn't have a soul to reincarnate. It's a little tragic: F.F succeeded in her goal of attaining a human "intellect", but she was never human to begin with.

It's not that she couldn't have shown up again but I feel that her sacrifice was a lot more meaningful because she didn't. I really like F.F's bittersweet ending.

All the Brando boys take after both of their dads, to varying extents. The ones in Part 6 especially take after DIO, but there are still a lot more parallels between DIO and Giorno than there are between Giorno and Jonathan.

Compare DIO's bone from Part 6 (taken from his leg, so it's actually Jonathan's bone), which reincarnates into a weird fucking homunculus that is basically a fusion of Jonathan and DIO: DIO refers to the Green Baby in first person in his diary, but it's shown to take after Jonathan in that it has the birthmark and feels a connection to Jolyne.

Because we know from Part 3 that DIO's consciousness is imbued into the cells of his body via the flesh buds, it's reasonable to assume that Jonathan's biology was altered to contain the "essence" of DIO when DIO took over. Explicitly, Jonathan's bone is shown to contain the biology of both Jonathan and DIO since it reincarnates into a creature who has traits of both. And because aspects of both DIO and Jonathan passed on to Giorno, it's reasonable to assume that this principle also applies to DIOthan's fucking semen

It's Mista character development after the final boss. The arc itself is alright but its placement was pretty bad

Chariot Requiem already took away from Diavolo as the final encounter. Once Diavolo was beaten in only 3 pages and the epilogue we got was really a prologue to explain Mista shit after the fact when there were already quite a few loose ends that VA needed to be tied up which were utterly ignored

I like it. Ending Part 5 on a flashback felt somehow poignant to me even though it really wasn't at all. Plus Rolling Stone is an interesting Stand.

I can understand how some people would be cheated that the final arc of Part 5 didn't even have Giorno in it and that we didn't get any proper ending exposition, but I'd argue that the actual final panel of Part 5 is perfect just the way it is. Not a word spoken, just Giorno seated on his throne like the suave motherfucker he is.

Expository dialogue would have ruined the effect.

I find Hamon interesting because it's a superpower which exists entirely in the physical plane as opposed to Stands which are an entirely supernatural power.

I'm not trying to argue that Hamon is limited by a consistent set of rules because there are many inconsistencies in the way it's used in Parts 1 and 2. I do however find the concept of a superpower which manifests as a "ripple" that travels through objects differently based on their viscosity to be interesting, I believe that it was applied in many interesting ways in the first two parts, and I have that feeling that it could have been milked just a *little* more to reach its full potential but I'm glad that it wasn't.

Hamon had run its course and Araki found a new thing that led him spread his wings creatively and come up with battles of wits and japery that carried on the spirit of Hamon and took it to the next level. I don't like this notion of Araki having to invent "dark hamon" and "super hamon" that memers always spout when this subject comes up because it's quite clear to me that Araki wasn't that desperate... yet.

I'm on Chapter 6.
There are some pretty interesting things here, like the idea of two detective characters in two different universes unintentionally working towards solving the same mystery, or the Puzzle Dream murders.
But then we get shit like Chapter 5 and everything involving Dio and Erina's characters in it or Lisa Lisa jumping out of a corpse.
I can't tell if this author is truly horrendously bad or if this whole book is just a giant shitpost operating under a dozen different layers of irony. To me it seems to be the latter.
I expected it to have some interesting and unique ideas but for it to be mostly a terribly written "lel so randumb" kind of forced crackfic that is simply not going to be well-remembered once everyone sees it for what it is. So far it's been exactly what I expected.

Part 1, yes. The anime cut plenty of good and important scenes from Jonathan's childhood and there's more exposition that the anime removed like the backstory of the 77 Rings challenge. And you get to focus more on the gore parts like pic related. If you don't care about Part 1 the manga probably isn't going to change your mind but I'd recommend it.

Part 2 really isn't, the anime improved on pretty much everything and they didn't remove anything too remarkable.

Parts 3 and 4 definitely. The anime improved on some things but the manga is still much better.
Reading DIO's World in the manga is a must.

Jotaro and Dio can stop time
Josuke and Kira can reverse time (Josuke reversing time on an object which simulates healing because there was a point in its history that the object wasnt broken and he trapes people like Angelo inside objects by having them be in a location that when the object is fixed, that object was in that location in a previous state. Like if you were standing over a broken bench, josuke fixes the bench and since your legs were in the position the bench once occupied your legs now become part of the bench)
