Genuinely felt like Hata realized he really should finish up the arc instead of faffing around with gags and Sad Nagi scenes. All of a sudden there's action, Izumi, and tons of characters who got forgotten along the way are being shown for the last time. Also, each girl is giving up one by one until only Nagi (worst girl) remains.

Basically he's actually trying to end it now. For reals, not just saying it's the final arc while continuing to publish it for a year or more.

Hayate punching his dad was a pretty based though.

The final arc of bleach was like 5 years long and still left like 25 plot holes.

This series needs to end and end acceptably. The only way that can happen is if Hayate's and Hinagiku's parents are murdered and their murder forms a time hole that de-ages Nagi to baby age (similar to what happened to A-tan only more so) and Hayate and the girls raise the baby while all fucking each other.

It relies on a lot of arcs from years ago.

Basically the King's Jewels are tools to access the wish-granting power of an imprisoned goddess within the Royal Garden. Because that power is cursed, the jewels can only open the path if they are subject to enough zetsubou from whatever source happens to be handy.

Hisui wants the Sanzenin fortune, and that will be willed to whoever opens the path to the Royal Garden i.e. Hayate. But if she gets it she'll be corrupted by the curse of King Midas and become a menace to the world, which is why everyone is fighting against her to stop her. Except Hisui, who is now her butler because he loved Nagi's mother and wants to get there to wish to be uncucked.

Nagi has been kidnapped by Hayate's parents for the money on Christmas Eve. They're way better criminals than Hayate.

Maria is the avatar of the goddess inside the Royal Garden and returned there to await the winner.

It was romantic drama about Hayate actually falling in love with Nagi. They won't be able to open the door by breaking Nagi's heart because Hayate has actually been in love with her all along, as Hinagiku explained. Instead, it'll be Nishizawa who opens the path.
