Isekai. Almost every aspect of a magic battle school harem is complete shit. The magic is never creative and just consists of boring magic circles shooting energy beams or elemental magic or whatever, school settings are overdone, and harems mostly have a insufferable, generic faggot as the main character.

Isekai has a lot of other problems, mostly that they're always video game themed taking place in fantasy medieval times. It could actually be a really interesting setting if the nips weren't so incapable of being original 99% of the time.

The main reason I hate those two type of anime is because they are almost always adaptations of ongoing LNs. Which means no ending, no resolution, please wait 5 years until author gets bored with this series.

Magic school battle harems anime and manga tended to be sourced from manga and from LNs in a time when new LN authors had won contests or otherwise submitted good manuscripts to editors.

Isekai anime and manga on the other hand is almost all from amateur web fics which are all exactly the same badly written shit with the exact same tropes, to an even greater degree than isekai.
