These people need Jesus.
Your thought about the show?
I would be fine with this show if there were any characterization at all.
Every character in this show just mopes around with a blank expression, until they start crying, or making out with somebody (while crying). They're all nonexistent characters. It's so fucking bland and boring. Why would I be invested in any of them?
As for the nature of their relationships, and being some kind of realistic, first I don't care about that, and second it still misses the mark. Instead of being some kind of authentic portrayal of human relationships, it's in this weird uncanny valley where it awkwardly apes those relationships without getting anywhere close to the reality making all the characters feel like uncomfortable psychopaths.
Also I'll be the one to say it, the thing where it has quote text panels mirroring a character's dialog as they're saying it because it's like super important or something is PRETENTIOUS. I understand the director is desperate for anything to break up the visuals in this incredibly visually boring story, but that wasn't it. It happens to often, and it's basically a way of saying "look at this dialog, it's super salient." Go fuck yourself.
I enjoy it more than I thought I would. Both anime and manga versions are aesthetically pleasing and I can't help but like Hanabi and wish for her happiness.
>Dating and relationships are literally nothing like this show unless you're dealing with people who are absolutely insane or you are insane yourself.
This is 4chan. Most of the userbase, particularly the /pol/ /r9k/ part of it, are full on fucking lunatics, only prevented from being as functionally batshit insane as the people in this show (though in a different way mind you) by either the fact that they never leave their (parents) house, or the fact that their insanity is so utterly blatant to anyone in their right mind that they never get the chance to actually go anywhere near a context in which they might actually do something crazy.
Then it might actually touch on something of import. Like actually, it would give some stakes to the show and its not like random deaths for drama are too lowbrow for this soap. Honestly a good idea
It's a fine show with pretty interesting characters and I'm starting to love Chika Anzai's voice.
That didn't stop it from obtaining the most autistic fanbase for a show since Re Zero though.
I havent updated this in a while, pls help
What is the color key? As for arrows, I think you just need to connect cuck-girl-extraordinaire to slutman. Oh, also, you need to that hoe that sadist dude fucked a bunch in middle school or whatever.
Moca is the most annoying character. Do purityfags really like shit like that?
Ignore >>153701390. I would love to read that, anon!
No worries, anon. I appreciate the effort.
So this is gonna be kinda shallow since I'd actually have to make one for Akane too to fully flesh out Hanabi but ehh whatever.
Okay so let's start with a very basic premise.
Every main character is scum (except maybe Moka but even she isn't completely innocent).
But basically the driving force of Hanabi's character is that of loneliness.
To start with her relationship with sensei, it is in a way it really is Daddy issues. She says it herself she had heard that her Father left the house because of her. This feeling meant that she always felt she was the cause of her own loneliness. Onii-chan basically did become her surrogate father figure and helped her stop feeling so alone, but a part of her never stopped feeling lonely. If you go back to chapter 2 flashback of her 3 legged race she didn't get mad a Moka for accusing her of cheating it's clearly about her not having a father.
Hell at the end of the flashback Narumi basically spells out why Moka fell for him and why she and Mugi started going out (kinda) "Both have things we are jealous of each other so when one of us is lonely we can help the other"
And notice too that despite this line We never learn about Naumi's Father or Hanabi's Mother, so it seems that despite both being jealous of that type of the family the other has that isn't really important, so rather than the family part the important of the sentence is "When on of us is lonely we can help the other"
Also note how Hanabi reacts badly to the thought of losing things or being alone. Not just Onii-chan but even Mugi (she gets jealous about him even before she fell in love with him) and Ecchan (Semi-consensual Lesbian rape).
With Mugi when she first comes onto him she says "aren't you lonely"
And I'm gonna post this part first cause this is taking forever and the thread needs a bump.
Tune in another 20min I guess
Thank you, anon! This is off to a good start!
>can't into basic grammar / punctuation
>literally just daddy issues
You can stop now.
If you're compiling some kind of cringe mosaic of posts from Kuzu threads then you probably shouldn't bother.
Not the analysis anon, but it's too early in the morning for this. Reminds me why I want to retire early and become a recluse.
Okay so her whole relationship with Mugi is built on loneliness.
It's basically comfort and sexual desire. At least that's what it started as and how they told themselves their relationship was. Later on they both realize that they love each other, but we're getting ahead.
It's actually quite clear by the series present (Chapter 1) that they actually do like each other. Hanabi shows jealousy and genuine concern about him multiple times and you can tell from monologue during sexy times that even before she literally says that she has a hard time imagining Onii-chan that she actually has a really hard time distancing herself from the act of doing it with Mugi. Hell it's pretty obvious from her end that she's actively avoiding trying to fall in love with him. She forces herself to remember Onii-chan, she won't thinking about why she chose him. She says it started as a joke when she came onto him but then couldn't stop, but it's ambiguous enough about what the joke is because she's flashing back to different parts of the relationship while saying it.
It's actually much harder to talk about her relationship with Mugi without talking about him then I thought.
Imma eat first and if I don't forget I guess I'll continue or maybe when the new ep drops since that will probably motivate me.
Yeah it's pretty shamefully horrible, and I'd probably kill myself rather than submit it to an English class, but man I'd forgotten how much work goes into a good analysis.
>tfw remember that I spent a month making a paper about Watchmen.
/u/ is mad because their self insert gets converted into a normal girl
Good work, nice read and some useful insights. I wouldn't have noticed what exactly transpired during the 3 legged race without reading this.
>two Japanese men who look nothing like each other
good serial, the characters blows the roof steeper Evangelion
I'am love it show!
Does anyone have turboslut sensei's valentines voice clip?
The youtube link is down.
Best ecchi type anime I've seen in awhile. Most will flash boobs and ass like it's going out of style, but shy away from actual sex. I always thought that was weird, I'm glad they have no qualms about that in this series.
Show is pretty accurate. You have to be hella deceitful to get laid or get a relationship for that matter. And I'm sure most people we end up with were not our first choice, we settle most of the time.
Haha, it's just the way life works. As people get older they become more desperate. We deceive and manipulate our way into whatever we can find. Someone spouse dies. They eventually move on. They don't necessarily love their new spouse as much as they did the pervious, but they settle and make it work. That's an extreme example, but it happens on a much simpler level as well. You love your waifu, but you'll settle for a 3dpd eventually.
He tries to kiss her at one point and pretty much makes it clear he wants to fuck.
At the end she pretty much says she will give him a shot.
It's happening, she's gonna get fixed
I want Hanabi to light up my world.
Hanabi's hana has been already tainted, anon.
I really like it so far because of how lewd it is with questionable characters. I want her to end up with the lesbian best friend because her friend's a get it girl and that public fingering scene was sexy. If their relationship is going to be full of that, I want to see more.
It's kinda sad that Hanabi thinks Akane is invincible because of limitless self-confidence when actually she's invincible because she's so insecure that she can never be honest enough to be hurt.
It keeps me entertained but I can't really take it seriously because of how silly it is and how these people act.
I want to bang Sensei (female) so hard though.
As an alternate spin there was a period where she didn't hate in on the physical level, and even on the emotional level but (and actual spoilers)
that's merely because at the time where Hanabi was more open to the relationship it was because she had her heart broken twice once by Sensei and again by Mugi (all in the same day). So rather than caring about the sex, she cared more about being desired "yay someone actually wants me".and even then there was a lot of scuminess all around since both parties were crucifying themselves in their heads.
Hell there's actually a really nice parallel that I think most people miss
Hanabi resolves to breakup with Ecchan (but also remain friends) after reading her diary and deciding that she does LOVE (platonically) Ecchan and wants to be her friend, and therefore can't use her to ignore what happened with Sensei and Mugi.
Which is kind of a parallel between her and Akane. Akane decides to break up with Mugi after she realizes she loves him enough to not want to use him as second string to Narumi.
You want something really deep (for lack of a better word) but Hanabi's final talk with Ecchan actually flat out says exactly why most relationships we saw failed, and why they are all so scummy.
>I can't think of you as substitute
I'll argue it's not really an ecchi type anime where the intent is to titillate, but a drama where sex is a major theme.
I share your complaints about how ecchi shows go for flashy displays of sexuality but avoid any actual sex ever happening. It is weird, but can be explained. For the most part, it's to pander to a fandom that simultaneously desires sexual content but hates it if their waifu is even implied to have gotten laid at some point. The rest is to make the show kind of defensible against moral guardians; "no, see, they're setting a good example, they're not actually having pre-marital sex".
Im really liking it. I like how they still managed to make it somewhat visually pleasing even though they are clearly running on a tight budget, compared to shit like seiren that looks like absolute garbage.
>tfw senpai will never notice you
Why doesn't she actively try to win Mugi-bowl? She could easily pretend to be an untameable shrew for him. Did she give up? Doesn't he mean anything to her?
I can't wait for the scene Hanabi, Moka and senpai haunts Mugi in his dream
Yeah it'll be a great scene.
>tfw you just can't stop disappointing someone you love
>Which one will you choose, Awaya?
Then why the tears? Why the jealousy? She loves Mugi and would be better for him than Hana or Moca.
There are probably less than five anime/manga where a girl is presented with both female and male love interests and she ends up choosing a girl (and it wasn't immediately obvious who she'd would pick from the start). As a yurifag, I think many /u/fags would fear the worst and reverse judgement until the end, especially in a series with non-yuri elements.
i watched all six available episodes in one go the other day.
despite it being gripping, i didn't really enjoy any of it. i think it actually made me a bit sick. i don't think i'll continue it
And yet he thinks about Hanabi the most.
The only example I can find on their archive is this guy.
Yeah, and Moka is fine by herself.
I have a friend who constantly goes on about how great this show is because of its "realistic" portrayal of romance and dominant gay character. I can't wait to see him and the other SJWs fawning over how realistic this is and turn on a dime once Ecchan gets the gay fucked out of her by her cousin.
Everyone watching this who thinks it is realistic or even a good romance is too caught up in the edginess of it to see clearly. It's like a 13 year old watching something like Elfen Lied where they think it's deep and mature but really they just want to justify their desire for tits and gore.
I haven't read the manga so I can't speak for it, but as far as the anime goes it is a trainwreck that just relies on shock value.
These characters go out of their way to make their lives as messy and convoluted as possible, I hate the term but this is actual forced drama. Any actual realistic character would just fuck Moka and date her, but these characters just like to wallow in their misery and ruin their lives for no discernible reason.
The parallel of Akane and Ecchan they did in the anime actually makes sense when you consider that
What's in Ecchan's dairy about not wanting people to know what's really in her heart, is pretty much the same as what Akane once told Mugi about pretending to be so many different things to avoid being herself.
I don't see it man
Even at the end she only says "I really loved your face", she really only saw him as a kid to fuck
Pretty sure the original purpose of the date was to let him loose since he was getting too clingy
new to anime, is there NTR in this anime like Boku dake ga Inai Machi ?
Not that much, he just misses his mommy and Akane really reminds her of his mom so he just wants her
Being wanted in a non sexual way throws Akane completely off pace and she ends up falling in love with him because of it.
He just doesn't care. It's not understanding or anything. He's willing to be cuckold to get even a little bit of what he wants because it's that important to him. He just gets lucky and doesn't have to be a cuckold at all because his acceptance of her inevitable unfaithfulness makes her faithful to him.
It's just a contrived good ending.
Moka is best girl. She deserves better, but I'm happy she remains pure and not defiled even if she isn't happy about Mugi not making love to her.
This will sound pretentious as balls, but it's a slightly humanistic approach in that that not only was the method of someone understanding her the best way to stop her wicked ways as opposed to someone stabbing her like everyone wants, it was also arguably something she deserved as a human being.
Yeah, I don't think Akane is self-confident at all. She's merely so insecure that it sorta warps into self-confidence. She doesn't honestly try to engage with any person so she can't get hurt like Hanabi.
Oddly enough her whole character is about her ONLY having confidence in how hot she is. She acts super self confident but truthfully she needs the one night stands to make herself feel good about herself, it's the only thing she has going for her in her life.
It may be my pretentious over examination of her character, but my take on it is she felt such a deep guilt over what she did to her friend back in school that her only coping mechanism was to flaunt her body and snatch men. Sort of like "I'm a piece of shit in every conceivable way, but at least I'm hot, right? Please tell me I'm hot!" She had to sleep around and steal men just to reinforce her own insecurities about every other aspect of her life. It's the same as how rich men usually feel psychologically driven to chase more money to compensate for everything else they lack in life as some sort of self-validation to make themselves feel like they aren't total shit. So when someone came along who saw Akane's flaws and accepted her and broke that cycle she was able to finally feel at peace with herself and feel love.
Where is the best place to read manga online?
I've realized I got a homo resistance level 4 thanks to yuri on ice and NTR resistances level 7.5 thanks to this series.
(the metric I'm using are episodes endured before I drop a series.)
Which is a better solution than someone stabbing her as it's a net result of more happiness, as opposed to a dead body in the name of 'justice'.
I hope Hana can see that eventually, that Akane deserves love as well.
Even if that were true, it doesn't explain why /s/ is so retarded with the 'sluts gets STD's' shit.
And I do beliefe Akane practises safe sex, she has no reason not to and she's not retarded.
I haven't watched this show yet, but why does it seem like every single screenshot of the MC has her lying on her back being ravished in a different bed?
How often does this teenager fuck?
The main girl never gets fucked, she almost gets fucked by a couple different guys nearly every episode but no one gets more than the tip in. So she is still a virgin unless you count handjobs or yuri sex.
generally batoto but you need to register a (free) account to read shit
also they're moralfags and don't host ripped Crunchyroll shit (even though fan-made scanlations are techinically just as COPYRIGHTVIOLATION), so they don't have Kuzu no Honkai (yes CR is translating the manga)
sites like kissmanga are NOT moralfags and will happily host pirated content, but they have shittier quality and will sometimes stick watermarks on the images
Batoto is the cleanest, and I made an account for that. It seems like they don't have all the chapters of this particularly manga, which is what I specifically wanted to read.
I would like to get into more manga in the future, and don't want to get used to that site if other series have the same issues.
I'm fucking autistic so using kissmanga seems weird to me
since kissanime is for normies reeebut I'll use it if I have to. Thanks, anon.
I just use
mangaherefor the ones not on batoto. They are good quality, no watermark and the backgrounds dark so it doesn't feel like I'm killing my eyes. Plus they also got that tsukkomi shit that makes reading certain manga fun
Notice how he seems uncomfortable with the idea of her cheating but she puts words in his mouth?
She won't ever actually cheat on him, and she's rationalizing why out loud. She needs to fool herself into believing this guy doesn't care if she cheats so she can rid herself of the temptation to cheat. Sleeping around is like how she rebels. You can't rebel against someone that's okay with it, it just doesn't work.
Deep down, she's already been reverse-corrupted --mindbroken by love.
Dead serious now, no memes intended. This show is stupid as fuck. It's so fucking dumb, but it's still kind of entertaining in a hilarious way because of how dumb and far off reality it is. Having one character kill themselves out of depression or something would make it even more hilarious.
Every character except Moka and Oniichan are human trash.
For me it's not much about being a purityfag, it's just that she's probably the most realistic character and I can relate to her from personal experience about not being able to let go. She's my self insert. Yes, it sounds gay as fuck, but that's how it is.
I can't fathom at all how the other characters are thinking, except maybe Mugi.
Oniichan is a literal cuck, memes aside
She is a pure character who genuinelly loves someone and would make great wife material in a show where literally every other female is a turbo slut that gets off on cheating. Honestly how do you not see her appeal? I'd take bland vanilla waifu over super sluts any day.
There's a difference between flawed and outright stupidity. I like the series but you have to admit there are times where the characters make the worst possible decisions and random shit happens just for the sake of entertainment. These aren't masterfully written characters by any means
I'm not a purityfag but if you honestly would rather have Hana or Akane over Moka you are a literal cuck. I'm not saying that your fetish is bad, just want you to know that all memes aside and by the actual definition of the word, you are choosing to be a cuck as literally every other girl aside from Moka goes out of there way to cheat on their boyfriends. There is a difference between being a purityfag and not liking characters that fuck anything that moves
Has a terrible personality, every manga appearance revolves around her fantasy prince Mugi, dresses like a fucking chuuni and treats her father like shit
Only somewhat gets redeemed at the end when she grows the fuck up
The only one that actually cheats is Akane
I dunno I'm a huge purityfag but I know the difference between an engaging, fascinating character and somebody who's just boring like Moka (as of right now). I think looking for a waifu in Kuzu no Honkai is probably a bad idea in the first place.
you can like a character without wanting to fuck it anon
if someone likes Dio Brando's "ZA WARUDO" it's probably just because they think the character is cool or fun to watch, not because they secretly jerk off to the idea of a vampire freezing time and destroying their tender boyhole
Honeyview was suggested to me earlier and it seems to do the job just fine.
it's free as in beer but not free as in speech, if you are a /g/ nerd who cares about that kind of thing
Not him but that fact he said is actually true akane got way kinkier with Mugi in bed and said he was very hot while she said narumi is pretty meh in bed, do you hate Mugi, self insert as Narumi or something? You are defending him like if he was your brother
Moka is true scum. She take advantage of the situation and even trash talk Hanabi for being "superior" than her, just the same way sensei did.
The only difference between her and Akane is that Akane actually got Mugi's dick while Moka was friendzoned. That doesn't excuse Moka's intentions.
Oniichan is just delusional, but at least I don't see bad intentions within him.
there we go, proof that she does practise safe sex after all
Although she was pretty drunk that night with Kainai, I trust him to be 'boring' enough to have some condoms anyway.
>Every character in this show just mopes around with a blank expression, until they start crying, or making out with somebody (while crying). They're all nonexistent characters. It's so fucking bland and boring. Why would I be invested in any of them?
But this is how it actually is in real life. No is real and is authentic with their emotions off the bat, so instead of you know... actually voicing your concerns and desires, people just act aloof and distant.
I feel what you're saying about all the characters being boring and lifeless, and for the most part I could just attribute that to how they weren't trying to tell a grandiose, politice romance drama but just a lowkey higschool story.
Idk, all I know is that Kuzu No Honkai is pretty damn similiar to how some relationships and drama play out.
calling non-blood-related people "Oniichan/Big Brother" is a thing in Japanese
Hana wants to fug Kanai and she calls him Oniichan but he's just a childhood friend not an actual brother
Buddha tier: Onii-chan.
Converter tier: Cousin
Pure tier: post purification Akane, post purification Mugi, Moka
Retarded tier: Hanabi, Ecchan
Dildo/Onahole tier: Mei, Takuya,
Moka dad and Hanabi mum
Kuzu no Honkai™ tier: Mugi, Akane
Because she thinks she can make it work, But Akane has the looks nailed down with the slutty cake going for her.
Hanabi has nothing apart from being a rag doll.
>Gives handjobs like they \are going out of style
>Will literally make out with anything that move, man or woman
>Humps and rubs Mugi almost every time they are together
>Tries to fuck a college student on the same day they met at a karaoke bar
She's a hyper slut dude.
Exactly, all 3DPD girls are hyper sluts.
This is what irks me about her character, all purity memeing aside. I don't like how she is constantly portrayed as the initiator in sex, it just feels wrong to me considering her personality being as passive as it is and how she never goes all the way. At least Ecchan and Akane go all the way when they initiate sex.
Actually come to think about it, almost none of them men in the series make any advancements. Almost all of them, as far as I can tell anyway, never initiate the sex nor are they looking for sex it's always the women who initiate something or manipulate them. I wonder if there is a message somewhere in there.
>I wonder if there is a message somewhere in there.
That a female author is writing a female sexual powerful fantasy?
Seduction -> control is a common trope in raunchy fiction and amateur writers often have trouble making characters express any agency or active engagement with the world except for their protagonist.
Everybody sits around waiting for a given chapter's focal girl to make a move, because the focal girl and her movements are the only things that matter
If you look at it, the women are always the sexual aggressors and the men are the passive ones. In fact the men sometimes go out of their way to avoid sex (Mugi avoiding it with Moka and Hana) and usually want actual romance (Mugi and Oniichan for example not caring about sex at all so long as they have someone). Meanwhile Akane is nothing but a sex fiend, before she gets the Oniichan D, Hana transforms every encounter she has into sex whether it be just meeting a guy or when she is just feeling depressed, and Ecchan is a borderline rapist.
It's clear there is a message about women being sexually aggressive in the manga
Not so much, Akane makes the moves on him and continues to just use him. Remember he even propositions her to be his girlfriend. He clearly is after a relationship with her, whereas she just uses him for sex. And Hana also made the moves on him not the other way around.
This is what drives me crazy honestly, it's a female empowerment theme that overtakes the whole manga. It's cool to have maybe one or two aggressive and powerful females, but when every female in the manga is some hyper sexual beast that overpowers and seduces men it just comes off as comical. Hana has no reason to be the way she is when it comes to sex, it completely contradicts her character. I can guarantee the author self-inserted as Hana. She was probably a shy girl in school but wished she was seductress that made any man or woman fall for her so she pushed that power fantasy onto Hana. If you fix Hana's character to be more consistent the manga would be leagues better.
Yuma from Netsuzou Trap is pretty much Hana done right.
I mean I don't think it's some ruinous flaw to the series. People often act out repressed desires through sexuality, and the way someone conducts themselves in public isn't necessarily how they conduct themselves when it comes to approaching and initiating sexual contact. Libido tends to be a very good motivator for proactivity in people who normally lack something to push them past their passive shell.
Though I also think part of what's going on here is like a reverse-tsundere concept. Part of the appeal of tsundere is that a girl who acts outwardly dismissive or hostile towards a guy is actually totally into him and can barely control herself. It recontextualizes something negative about reality into a validating fantasy.
The same sort of thing is happening here, only instead of bitchy women, it's passive, indifferent men. The power fantasy projects a world in which all men are secretly aggressive, dominant sexual carnivores who only need the slightest push from a frumpy teenage girl to fall into their desires and give you exactly what you want; that they all secretly desire you deep down despite their seeming indifference and are actually just waiting for the signal to tear down societal barriers and ravish you. It works because it's inserting a validating sexual fantasy into a dull or negative aspect of reality (eg. that people of the opposite sex don't really find you all that attractive or interesting and would rather go about their life than give you the time of day).
