You don't need to expend the time and money to get an infantry full of specop badasses when mostly what they're going to be doing is taking and holding territory after artillery and armor has assaulted fortified positions.

You only need specops for highly specific missions with quick, high-priority goals, like a scalpel.

Infantry are mostly used in terms of pure weight of bodies taking land/territory adding to combined arms from bigger guns and support.

A too-rigorous training regime defeats what you're going to mostly use rank and file infantry for, and are no tougher than specops when they actually get hit by a bullet in this day and age. It's limiting your options and army size for no reason for the most part, at least if you didn't have any hard limits on personnel sizes.

They're cute. The issue is that a lot of times characters get a nendo, but then a scale comes out a while later which is obviously much better for twice the price. It depends on what you're looking for and willing to spend on the character.
