It's honestly hard to say because we're lacking vital information. We know he fucked Gali-Gali over because he wasn't from the wrong side of the sheets like he was and hadn't been victimized the same way, but the Tekkadan kids come from similar circumstances as he, so he may actually keep faith with them because they're "his people" and dragged themselves up the same way he did, using similar methods. If he is, in fact, a completely selfish prick out for only personal power, then of course none of that will matter.

I still don't get why Eugene didn't invest himself more in Tekkadan's decisions instead of going "Ehhh I don't really understand that kind of mars stuff, but I trust you Orga!". He used not to behave like this, last season he was doing his best to help and relieve Orga of his work as much as he could, but in S2 he was downgraded to Shino's level of intellect and implication leadership wise.
It's like Okada turned off everyone brains so she'd be sure Tekkadan would go meet their demise instead of using the smart guys to create interesting conflict within Tekkadan. Or maybe she just didn't want to kill Eugene for the same reason she did Biscuit so she turned his brains off instead.

The thing is when Old Man told Zach that Tekkadan needed more people like him, Eugene was marginalized when he was like Zack. Not only that, but literally only two episodes prior he was like "that's fucking nuts, they outnumber us" when he first found out about the coup, literally exactly what Zach was saying. Orga just shut him down after that and was like reassuring. Eugene also kept reminding everyone in the first couple of episodes of S2 not to let Orga shoulder things alone, so it's like they remember it at inconvenient times but then make him forget at times too. I get that he's obviously obsessed with Orga and admires him more than anyone, but still.

It was weird seeing him be 100% on point about Orga and totally thoughtful and seeing things even Mika can't and Shino just shutting it down. I guess Shino thinks that as long as they are this far, at this point, forcing Orga to turn back or doubting him would be bad? Still Eugene was right, as he often has been when he's not listened to.

Macky showed off just how batshit insane he really is and I can't help but love where Okada went with him.

I'm betting this all ends with both sides taking major losses and Macky going down. Tekkadan's going to scramble off to Mars to escape the remaining Arianrhod fleet for the final two episodes and it all ends with a final showdown between Kimaris Ein and Barbatos back at Tekkadan base mirroring the first few episodes.

There are a lot of episodes left, it makes no sense for it to be entirely about this Gjallarhorn civil war. It also makes no sense for the Mars MA incident to be a one off thing to show how sugoi Mikazuki is.

The elders did mention that Bael and Agnika were respected because there was a need for a man who could beat those crazy machines. It makes sense that this will be the case once again.
