I realize I'm three years late on this, but holy crap, this was astonishingly not shit. I had no idea that could happen.
I mean, okay, they're "meh" movies narrative-wise if you haven't read the manga since a lot of stuff relies on you already caring about the characters. Sanosuke basically just walks into the plot at one point and sticks around with little explanation as to why this guy is suddenly their friend. But holy shit the choreography is awesome, occasional silly wire-fu gattotsu notwithstanding. The fact that they made "spindly girly dude smacks people with a blunt sword" not look entirely ridiculous is genuinely astonishing.
Also, somebody give the guy playing Soujiro a fucking award for being a literal 3D anime character.
Aoshi's fights were pretty radical. I can dig this cat playing Jotaro in the Part 4 movie.
