Where were you when yuri couldn't simply be contained in one or two cours? Why have I never ever seen this gem discussed?
well, you're the first one I've seen to even attempt that... so that could be part of the reason?
Maybe because it's too old, it wasn't widely seen by all /a/ together, not much group nostalgia for it?
I saw bits of it back in the day, so it was actually yuri in the end?
I remember it had some male characters, it seemed like it'd go the typical shoujo route.

Good times to remember. I really enjoyed it.
I don't remember it being yuri though
I'd never have thought that my teenager self could enjoy this kind of anime. Ended up loving every characters. And I thank this show for introducing me to Oohara Sayaka.

Yeah all things considered this was preety gay, Sora and Layla were thinking about each other all the time by the time of the movie, don't really know if this was intentional or not
>>153451648
Nothing but bait. I mad
>>153453099
I think Layla ended up being more important to Sora than any of the guys

>yuri
I love Kaleido Star to death and wear yuri googles all the time, but it has no yuri at all, not even low quality yuri bait. It's a good sport anime and friendship story, but nothing more.

>Why have I never ever seen this gem discussed?
BECAUSE YOUR A FUCKING NEWFAG WHO SHOULD STFU AND LURK MOAR
I saw it last year, and it's possibly my favourite anime, at least in top 3. It's absolutely amazing, I really love it. It just felt great.
And no, it's not yuri.

There is no romance involving the main characters. The guy's crush on Sora is just played for laughs all the way through. If you've seen the first episode, you've seen the full romantic development.

Yes, it is old.
>too old to get attention on regular /a/
>too recent to be brought back to light in the retro threads
/a/ needs some early 2000s generals

I don't think I've ever seen a thread for it before. It was briefly talked about in a recommendation chart thread when removing it was suggested, but that's all I"ve seen

Like I said to the judge, 14 years is too old.
