Yes, absolutely. It's not my favorite anime ever, but I found that it never really drags on too much. It's not long just for the sake of being long.

Was bored to tears by episode 20 and dropped it. If you don't mind really slow paced anime you might enjoy it. Otherwise no not worth it.

It is kind of amazing how they managed that with a series that is over 100 episodes long. Also a lot of things are happening pretty much constantly, it's scale really is something else.

Hell no, go watch an actually good sci-fi movie or read a sci-fi novel instead.

No, not even remotely.

It's relatively dull, poorly produced, fundamentally stupid, and badly constructed. its art direction is unimaginative and forgettable, its music is just copy-and-paste public domain classical scores, and the animation itself is largely non-existent, given that most scenes are just two stilted military stereotypes talking about political philosophy in the most puerile and basic fashion possible (hurdur dogs eat dogfood).

However, I want as many people as possible to watch it, so we can finally retire the idea that it's a great series. It's not. The only redeeming qualities are the voice acting and narrative scope. I hope one day it's finally acknowledge that LoTGH is just mediocre drudgery.
