You think its going to be a standard revenge plot, but then it throws that out the window goes meta and introduces some bitch obsessed with making movies so she tries to rekindle the revenge plot, but Fire Punch suddenly decides he wants to free the slaves and becomes Jesus then he flies to space and burns an entire city to the ground and turns into Jesus. Big boobies foriegn woman and half-naked guy show up and kill shit then Pire Funch meets the "ice witch" but its not the ice witch its one of the orignal people who still have some of the powers because apparently all the past humans that weren't shit fucked off to space to escape the new ice age and left them behind and she wants to make a huge tree that kills everyone and reheats the world and restarts the entire evolutionary process just because she wants to watch fucking Star Wars again. Meanwhile that chick is mentally a tranny that wants to know what its like to stroke her own dick, but can't get any gender reassignment surgery because she's just regenerate it.

Usually when a character's nuts in fiction (especially in anime/manga) they still trace their discernible traits back to their "natural" personalities, especially since in reality things will continue to subconsciously influence your behavior whether you remember them or not.

What if the tree-girl originally had her mind wiped by a movie obsessed dude who also mind wiped togata in the past.
It might have been mis-translation but the tree-girl said she is currently 40 years old, but has memories and knows about the events of the previous evolved humans who fled the planet to escape the ice age (which apparently happened 300 years ago). This could explain why togata and tree-girl are both obsessed with seeing star wars the force awakens. It could be that togata had her mind overwritten with the movie dude's personality and lived as him for 200 years. Could be because she lived for so long that with each passing year, her memories are getting more and more clouded and her original personality is starting to conflict with the movie dude's current personality.

The movie dude probably used a blessed ability that can transfer his own memories and overwrite his victim's memories. Thus being able to make copies of himself by taking control of others bodies(immortals since they don't need to be taken care of). Which makes it easier for him to achieve his objective of destroying the world to later recreate it.

However, the fact that each copy can potentially experience different things, the copies can develop their own trait other than the main goal of destroying the world. Which can explain togata's tumbler act.
