We don't have any major shonen at the moment that can really draw attention. Trying to imitate Naruto or One Piece only causes people to compare the original to the successor, ultimately preventing it from developing an identity of its own. What they need to replace the three is a fresh enough series that doesn't feel familiar, has a consistent release schedule, and appeals to young people.

I don't think there will ever be another big 3. I doubt there will ever be another new franchise that could rival One Piece in terms of overall success or Dragon Ball in its international success. I thought BnHA had a good chance of at least replacing Naruto but that turned out to be pretty disappointing. I can't think of any series in JUMP right now with that potential. Maybe Kimetsu no Yaiba given enough time but that seems like it's going to be a short series. Outside of sports series I doubt we will be seeing another big action adventure shonen anytime soon.

I don't think a lot of us even watch the anime anymore. The manga is still pretty decent. The recent arc has been pretty good so far. At least much faster paced than Dressrosa. Which doesn't say much for One Piece. I just hope Oda can deliver with the much anticipated Wano Kuni arc. Which has been hyped since at least Thriller Bark. Something I've noticed is most of these series don't air every week on a perpetual schedule any more. Rather, they get renewed for new seasons every few years when a manga arc completes. There's a lot of more stuff that I would say adds to the success of the series. There's also a lot of issues with it like any big Shonen series but out of all the Shonen I've read over the years. It actually feels like Oda plans arcs in advance rather than plan half an arc and just hope for the best. Which is what I was getting from Kubo after the Souls Society arc which was pretty damn good.

OPM has about 11 million copies sold.
Bleach, the least successful of the four I mentioned has about 87 million sold.

Like I said, pales in comparison to some hit series. Hell even Death Note with 12 volumes (same number of volumes out for OPM) has sold 20 million more. Maybe by the time OPM is done it will be up there. As it stand, its not even close to being as popular as some of the other series mentioned on this thread.

I know, the whole concept of the Big 3 is retarded anyway and I'm pretty sure it's a western fan thing. Bleach did sell a lot of copies regardless. Not anywhere near as much as One Piece 430 million or Naruto. It is still much more successful and long running than much of the series still on going today.

The Big 3 was more or less an event. They were the three that came out at a time of crisis and helped Jump recover themselves and become what they are today.

For now, we just have "the next big thing" which there seems to already be a lot of.

The Big 3 may exist but it won't be exactly comparable to the old one.

Battle shonen has changed. Newer, weekly ones aren't exactly going into super long arcs spanning multiple years.

Physical media is dying everywhere. It would be wrong to compare the newer stuff to the older stuff based solely on physical sales.

Long continuous anime are far too rare. You're way more likely to get 1-cour/2-cour anime for big shows now.

I think you really just have to take a hard look at what's really getting people into anime today.
