So I watched episode 1 and MC jumps into a test of strength and beats everyone up using gadgets and tricks and shit and this is supposed to be seen as him be especially clever why?

I mean I get it the guy doesn't rely on pure physicality but if we're testing who's the actual physical strongest than all your tricks don't mean shit because you basically defeated the purpose of the test. You can't enter a weightlifting competition using a forklift and say you're the strongest.

What's the point of continuing the story after exhausting the main premise?

Not only that, Adlet is very smart and he doesn´t have the harem mentality, in fact he rejects the bunny girl (who seemed like the main girl) and confess his love to the serious one (which usually are just part of an harem in the rest of animes and doesn´t get the guy)

This anime was a surprise for me, will read the LN that continues the story, it was a nice fresh.

I finished it recently and loved it for two reasons: typical demon lord and chosen heroes scenario and the pacing. They used the whole season to animate volume one and it worked, now THAT'S how you adapt a light novel.

For a whodunnit to be decent the audience must the able to make use of the clues and rules to figure out the who themselves, or else it's no fun.

In this, the only decisive clue (the tablet, iirc) shows up 5 seconds before they figure out the who, so the whole thing came out of the left field for me.

Besides, spending half a season for that only for another hero to show up at the end felt like a slap, like it was a huge waste of time.

Also fuck the author. I will never forgive him for Noloty.
