That ending was pretty stupid, yeah. There is absolutely no way things would just go back to normal for them after what happened to Nana. At the very least, in the course of the police investigation her mother would have seen the picture the guy took from her phone, and the student council president would definitely have questions about how Kaoru knew Nana was in trouble. Not to mention it was a generic "girl gets kidnapped, guy rescues her just in time" plot. Although it's not like you could expect much when Black Label set a ceiling on how far their relationship could advance. Ever since Black Label ended the original manga practically felt like it was just obligated to keep going. At least Black Label showed them on the first step to an actual relationship.

Yakushoku Distpiari - Gesellschaft Blume has a very abrupt ending. Oddly, it does resolve everything, but basically nothing of importance happens in the entire plot.

Effectively, the author hadn't completed the web-novel yet, so the manga was cancelled. Truza dies from spore infestation, another Subjugator saves the day at a hideous cost. Then another Demon Lord shows up four years later. The only one who's really changed is the love interest, who has now given up all hope.

I know this doesn't count but I'm really mad about this and I don't know where else to rant about it.

Deep into the story it's revealed that the adorable spider girl main character is actually a murderous sociopath with absolutely no sense of empathy. She decides to fucking kill everyone for a reason that the author DOESNT EVEN EXPLAIN TO YOU. The previous chapters even tease you brilliantly with moments of conscience, making it seem like might end up working with people after all.

Then she murders 28 people who are utterly no threat to her and couldn't hurt her even if they tried. The author even shows how she kills them from one of the humans perspective to show how horrible she really is. She hadn't killed anyone before this.

Completely ruined the whole thing for me. I adored this character and how far she'd come. The reason that's eventually given for her deciding to kill eveything is "fuck the system, lol, amirite?"

I'm so goddamn mad.

I knew he would end up with Queen from the beginning, but it was hilarious watching him write himself into a corner. The two other girls were ten times more fleshed out then Queen. One of the endgames of SE was to save Chrona but when she killed all the inhabitants of a city, the ending all the readers wanted was fucked unless they were to pull an Oroshimaru and forgive her crimes.

The other was to stop the Kishin, they could either kill him (retconned to being unkillable), seal him on the book of eibon (a being stronger than the kishin was sealed there) or seal him inside of someone.

So the only way out the author got was to have Chrona sacrifice herself, that way she avoids a lifetime jail sentence (bad end) and got a "happy end" were she saves the world, of course she forget all the madness that medusa died creating just because.

And god the maka chrona fight, so fucking chapters building Chrona strenghth only to be defeated because "dad and daughters have strong bonds, it doesn't matter that I barely spend any time with my daugher", it way worse that the Courage Punch of the anime.
