No it won't. Critical reception and awards are a more permanent factor than money. All the temporary hype over Your Name won't erase the fact that In This Corner of the World is the most critically acclaimed and awarded non-Miyazaki anime film in Japan. It won't erase Katabuchi being the first anime director to win best director in multiple awards. Not even in the Japan Academy Awards where Your Name had the advantage was it in the running for best picture and not just best animation like In This Corner of the World was for every other award.

Your Name will be forgotten in a few years.

After watching the movie. I expected that they would have rewrite it for the movie so it doesn't appear that episodic like in the manga.
Should have also invested more time for the postwar stuff.

Still a fantastic movie and a good argument for crowdfunding anime.
