I'll let you know when I catch up. I'm on volume 10 right now. It's been pretty fun when it's serious like the Takeda stuff. The whole volume dedicated to old Kansai humor where MC is held hostage in a temple of catgirls was a waste. Also the volume about pirates wasn't that special.

Jubei goes full yandere though and it's great.

Juubei became better as the show went on. I'm glad she got more role in the later volumes.

I dropped it the novel after the time she wakes up from a weird drug-induced coma (and refuses to kiss the MC cause he was too stinky) because it was clear to me it was going to be another one of those where MC and main girl clearly want to fuck but the relationship never progresses at all for increasingly stupider reasons
