Jobin is actively antagonising Josuke now since Damo kicked the bucket and there's a power vacuum in Morioh and everything revolves around the super Rokakaka Josefumi accidentally created. Jobin is the one person with links to everything that's been introduced so far so Josuke is gonna have to go through him to reach the truth and Jobin is gonna have to go through Josuke to keep climbing higher. JoJolion really isn't going to end happily. It gives me Stone Ocean vibes.

There's so much shit going down in JoJolion I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being nearly 150 chapters. SBR had tons of dropped plot points and characters and ended at 96 chapters because Araki didn't want to spend 10+ years on it but with JoJolion it seems like he's actually set up a story with a 10+ year long run in mind, so I'm keen on seeing where it all leads to.

I thought it fit pretty well. Ciocolatta was by far the most merciless enemy they'd faced up until that point and the fact he tried to use Mista as a hostage near the end was reason enough for Gio to go ham on him. Plus Gio spoke quite a few times in the final confrontation with him saying that he was going to show him absolutely no mercy, I like to think that was the moment that sealed Gio's character as Don-material.

Kars is the only one who looks fine in the new art style, at least to me.
His physical size and muscles weren't as important to his design and character as his face and clothing, even when he comes out to fight he's not even really drawn to be that much bigger than Joseph (which is the opposite of how ACDC and Wham fought him).
This is part of why I also don't mind Joseph too much as a skinny man either, he's not a particularly brawny character.

I really like how ACDC looks in pic related, too. Sure he's not a giant powerhouse but he's got the clothes, he's got the facial expressions, he's got the attitude, the character is there. If Araki did this more often when he draws old characters in his new style then I wouldn't have a problem with it.

The protagonist accidentally killing a defeated bound man, alittle kid tricking an anxiety-ridden teenager into being hit and killed by a bus, Damo's head being caved in with a single strike as he bargains for his life, Kira dying in Josefumi's arms when he's not even aware it happened, and Kid-Josefumi almost drowning, which he considers a 'death' and the thing that shattered his trust in humanity and himself

In 6 we get the bloodbath at the end, including Pucci being killed by a little kid, and before then we get stuff like Weather and Foo Fighters sudden and violent deaths. There's other horrible stuff too, like the twelve to fourteen-year-old Perla's suicide, Weather's death being accidental, Pucci disguising Vercace as himself to trick the heroes into killing him, the victims of the Maximum Security arc etc.

I was kind of expecting part 6 to have a lot of violent and shocking deaths just because it was taking place in a prison And I was spoiled about the universe reset. I'd probably be more surprised if I went in unaware. Part 7 surprised me more because most the characters that die aren't really villains and it feels like all of their stories get cut way shorter than they should. Mountain Tim, Hot Pants, Wekapipo, etc. I guess it also helps that so many of the deaths are brutal and horrifying like being split into menger sponges or the First Lady getting killed by balloon animals.

Caesar would've looked really gross but also arguably less upsetting than more intact corpses. He'd just be a puddle mostly, while there'd be patches of intact stuff (like his skull with hair attached, you could probably make out some specific organs and stuff) it's not as shocking because it's harder to think of it as a person.

Jolyne would've been more upsetting because it'd be obvious that she still was a person, just a person with her head violently torn apart and limbs ripped off.

Part 6 brought the excessive gore back into Jojo and it had a lot of shocking deaths, and I'd say Part 8 is well on track to surpassing it.

One death that still sticks with me very strongly is Will Zeppeli's death.
You know right from the episode before that he's going to die to help JoJo. Hell, he's the mentor, you could probably figure out he'd die even before that.
And he has that really glorious moment of accepting his death and facing his fate as he goes to Tarkus at the end of Episode 6. It hypes you up for his final battle.
But what happens instead is that he does one jump attack and then he gets slowly and painfully severed in half by a chain while everyone present is completely powerless to help him. It's so raw and painful. His death scene is sad in and of itself, with him acknowledging JoJo as a friend and son.
I really liked Zeppeli, and yet I knew he was going to die.
I just didn't expect him to die so painfully and so suddenly.

Totally agree. Part 5 might be able to top it if they get 21st Century Schizoid Man for the ED but as we stand right now, I remember that better than any other.

I really have to hand it to David Productions. Every single one of the deaths has hit me way harder in the anime than the manga. Even fucking Shigechi's death is so poignant for example.

He was able to hold on just long enough for Crazy Diamond to fix him. Kakyoin also got flung back like 100 yards and smashed a hole into a water tank. Most of Kakyoin's bones were probably dust at that point.
