Nope.

People are just salty that instead of some world-shaking addition to the Eva storyline, it's just a visually updated but condensed version of the original anime until the end of 2.0, and 3.0 was a massive waste of time.

The first two are more than passable despite their flaws. The third crosses a toxic line that should never be crossed in any story.
