Rings was actually decent.

However, what Rings was based on was another earlier prototype movie also called Rings which looked fucking incredible. It actually looked amazing.

I loved the original Ringu, but I feel that the Ring was a great adaptation and that Rings was, while at times cheesy or incoherent, ultimately, a great entry into the series.

Still, if we got the earlier Rings, that thing looked genius. I have no idea what happened to its production.
