The point of them dying was to save their Earth and made sure their Earth was the one that went out on top in the timeline. So, why is it at the end they are going to another Earth to do the same thing? Were they not fighting for one line? Is there going to be multiple Earths that fight? Is it over after so many people die and win battles? What the fuck is the point?

They aren't. They're dead. The robot goes to another earth, just like it came to their earth from another one, which we learned when we learned about Koyemshi/Machi's backstory.

They specifically address this as well - it's not structured like a tournament, no one in-universe knows how the fights are determined.

Of the fights? Yet again, no one knows, and they guess there probably isn't any. But the point of the kids fighting these arbitrary fights is, like you said, protecting earth. They don't know why it happens, and that doesn't matter, they just have to deal with it.

It's fiction. The author takes his story in whatever direction he fucking wants. This was pretty obvious considering the premise, and the fact every single kid acts unrealistically mature for their age and environment.
