welll tropes are as good as they are executed, and i feel that they are executed really well.

lets take the hero.

reluctant and all as most of these heroes usually start, we always get a taste at how capple he is, but slowly the show keeps ramping him up. His fights get more and more insane, but all while still keeping him somehow less amazing than the rest of the cast. Finally the moment of Armageddon is hear and he is the last thing that is there. all the heroes and villains before him are dead, or useless... we think the show lets use sink into how fucked he he might be.. but because we also know he is a bad ass... just maybe he has an ace (this is why its not such an ass pull when he pulls out unlimited blade works scroll edition) we sit there going "holly shit he is doing it and he had an ace.

Thats a hallmark of good writing. doing cheezy things that have been done before but in strong casual ways where it doesn't put you off.

I think it just might not be your taste friend.
