I'm tired of this shitfest. This dude had a stellar opening for the manga but about 7-8 chapters in it started having pacing problems and 2-dimensional characters as well as ham-fisted ideology inserts. The author practically put deadpool in the story with Togata which is a bad idea for the tone but he turned it around during Agni's fight with Behelmdolg or whatever. Togata was gearing up to be the main villain with her betrayal and her character started to be more fleshed out. It made her more of an absolutely amoral nihilist that arbitrarily wants to kill someone who trusts her over a movie, the sole obsession. But then he has Togata admit to it and Agni isn't mad I guess. Also, you're going to replace her with this shitforbrains star wars Togata prequel. Okay. Great. Also, when did Agni start becoming a candied ass? Saying shit like "We must help the people" and "I don't want you to suffer pain in front of me" and whatnot. He burned alive nonstop for 8 years. I miss the old him who would just walk away and leave people who were almost murdered to their own fate. I don't like seeing a version of him that is the 2 dimensional stereotypical manga hero. Everyone in this manga pisses me right the fuck off. They're all flat. Baseball bat and the two nudists are the only likeable characters and I wonder how long it'll be until they start spouting movie lines. Fuck.

You can shift the tone without making it a complete trainwreck. Shifting the tone for the sake of it is just a gimmick and it hinders the story by really jarring the reader. He can do better. He's honestly talented but I feel like the writing is far too flimsy as it is.

Also, disappointed no one noticed my dubs or picture choice. Not just for the filename's relevance to the thread but also because Star Wars and he's talking to a burned man. Perfect reaction image for this manga.

It's like the initial conflict with Doma, that falls flat because he's already senile and crazy (even if Agni doesn't know yet) and it doesn't make sense to keep fighting because even if he lighted up a town, it was to stop cannibals.

Maybe that's just the point. Given that the world is already at its limit and society doesn't make sense anymore, it's appropiate that the evil plan its nonsensical too. In this way Agni's quest is not only to stop people for suffering, but to fix the society by bringing logic again
