Manglobe may be, but Shogakukan is very much alive. They'd just need to hire out a different studio to finish out the story.

But since it's almost been three years since tanks were being put out, I don't see what the incentive would be for Shogakukan to bother.

I badly want to see HOJ animated and how much salt will it to anime-viewers only.

I didn't think there was much left to adapt. I would be content with an OVA though. My girl Chihiro needs a proper ending.

No one cares about it. The mangaka killed interest in the series post-Goddess arc. Outside the ending, it's barely cared about there. It's kinda sad given how enjoyable it was.

Guess I'll check out that cake manga.
