Was this show meant to be a cult classic?
>>152751726
>that drawing style
It was meant to belong in the trash
It could have been if the writers didn't change, they didn't run out of money, and the ending wasn't generic and inoffensive
>>152751726
No.
They should make a movie with a better budget for the ending.
>>152751765
Let me guess, you want it to look like every other A1/Kyoani trash?
>>152752001
No, I don't want it to look like a shitty 2D yuri version of RWBY

Postscriptum: I like Mob Psycho's drawing style as an example for recent shows.
Pretty much every drawing style appears to me except Flip Flappers and maybe Taboo Tattoo (can't point my finger at what's exactly triggering my autism in the drawing style)
I don't really care about what studio a show is made by as long as it's good
>>152751726
The profleration of Jung anime will take time.
>>152751726
Please stop making these threads, wait for a bit and create some without bait questions. This is not healthy.
>>152753229
One does not simply silence the echo from the past.
>>152751726
It was meant to stop having threads at some point,
Move on. If there are still occasional threads 3 years from now, you'll know then whether it was a cult classic or not.
Are the people complaining about the threads concerned flip flap fans who don't want to see the threads stale, or faggots who didn't watch the show and just want the threads to be over so they can go back to shitposting the seasonal trash?
I'm just wondering.
If it's the former, no need to worry much, there seems to still be some stuff to discuss as the last couple of threads managed to have some interesting insight and ideas presented.
Seems like some people have been catching up to the show late and still want to discuss it.
>>152755140
I'm a flip flapper that don't want the threads get stale. You are right about what you are saying, though this thread seems to have been might right after another got archived, so it could have been the same OP trying to make continuous threads like at the time it was airing.
Or I'm getting paranoid because I don't want these threads to turn to shit.
>>152755308
It's a shame the other thread died, I wanted to reply to someone there.
Maybe I'll just take a screenshot of their post and reply to it here.
>>152751726
It was meant to be good but they fucked up somewhere down the line
>>152755500
You can reply to other threads.
>>152755789
I know but wouldn't that make them look like generals?
Not sure that's a can of worms I'd like to open here for now.
Now that is a meme question if i've ever seen one.
>>152755822
No, it wouldn't. You are just having a conversation with an anon from a different thread.
>>152751726
It was meant to be AOTY and it was.
>>152755140
The former. I want our future selves and the anons who watch the show in the future to look back on us fondly, not as the guys who drove a good thing into the ground.
>>152755923
That's adorable.
Older short hair Papika + bun hair Cocona !
>>152755308
I ignored this show while it aired because I thought it was just more yuri bait. It wasn't until the threads that came after that piqued my interest. I'm glad these threads are still around, and besides, it hasn't even been a month since it ended.
>>152751784
When did the writers change? Because the series only got good after four or five episodes, and was pretty terrible before then. If that's when the writers changed, I'm afraid I'm on the side of the studio here.
>>152755140
>Seems like some people have been catching up to the show late and still want to discuss it.
That's me! Thanks for starting threads about it!
>>152756752
You have a strange taste. The first part of the show was the most solid. But what followed wasn't bad at all. Just different.
>>152751726
If only it had stayed episodic.
>cult classic
what a pretentious way to say "yuribait"
>Cockona
>152757452
It's not yuri unless Cocona and Papika have on-screen sex for at least 7 episodes and have at least 218 orgasms between them, fucking in at least 30 different positions while saying "I love you" at least 2000 times. Anything less can be brushed off as just friends.
While Yayaka masturbates in the background.
>>152757711
stupid child, it's called yuribait, not yurifeedthefish
>>152757452
Shitposting aside, I really think this has the potential to become a cult anime. It's obscure, "deep", but also fun and is great to look at.
>>152755140
There's just no good way to start a Flip Flappers thread anymore except asking for opinions and I bet most of the pople who loved it and actively followed the threads while it was airing are tired of giving their positive opinions every time someone makes a thread to ask for them, so most of the answers now are shitting on the show or some aspect of it.
Or maybe it's just the time of day. They always used to be more civil 6 hours earlier than now.
>>152757756
it's literally deep
>>152751726
Were this show's fans meant to be so annoying?
>>152757856
I really wish they'd just stop making this many threads. I'm pretty sure some are even pretending to have never watched it just to make an OP asking about it.
>>152751765
>>152757849
It's as deep as you want it to be. You don't need a degree in jungian psychology to understand the plot, but it adds a lot ot it and the motivations of the characters.
>>152757906
Good thing we're not here to please you. If you don't like those threads, you have a hide function. Now fuck off, you pussy.
>>152757810
Well, I still love the show. Favorite anime of the decade and I'm not exaggerating that.
But at this point I'm feeling more drawn towards criticizing the show than praising it.
I think that's a healthy part of the appreciation process.
A show as good as Flip Flappers deserves both sides of it.
>>152759183
I appreciate this post. It's a good post. True flip flappers will understand.
