Ichigo doesn't have daddy issues, he has mommy issues. his entire character and complex comes from his mother dying because of him. he hs a really good relationship with his dad, to the point where when he found out his dad had lied to him his whole life he just said basically "Yeah it's surprising, but you probably had a legitimate reason so you can just tell me about it later".

I tried rereading bleach, and I'll be honest, I dropped it when I was nearing the end of the soul society arc. There was too much focus on Ichigo and the Captains, and extremely little focus on the other characters that went with Ichigo.

However I loved the beginning arc and thought that bleach could've easily been a good dramatic series if the character arcs were expanded upon.
