That's not what it meant. "Moshi Moshi" was suppose to be impossible to be spoken by shapeshifters, who could otherwise imitate any voice. Saying "Moshi Moshi" is essentially a password for "yes, it's me, not some magical imposter."

Loki paid Fafnir's family using treasure he know was cursed. Basically when he stole the treasure from someone else, the original owner cursed it and say that "anyone who keep this treasure will die". Loki took the treasure anyway because he was giving it away later. Then Loki handed the treasure over to the Dwarf King, Fafnier's father.

Interestingly, after the treasure changed hands several times, each time killing the owner, it finally ended up back in possession of the person who cursed it. He was glad to get his treasure back, but was annoyed that his magic ring, which can create gold, went missing during its travel from owner to owner.
