Anyone have prediction on what the adult farm is like? The kids aren't coming out of nowhere. I'm thinking it's one guy (former top scorer) and a bunch of women (also top scorers) chained down 24/7 just giving birth nonstop. While normal humans live on another continent or somewhere isolated from the demons.

Or maybe the normal humans sell their children to the demons for food rations because the world is in some kind of crisis and can't provide for themselves.

Grandma is too far in the game to be ever have an inkling of "good". She's doing it out of fear of the demons and their plans in the festival, so you could say she's acting for the sake of the farm as a whole.

Mama is definitely the antagonist still, but depending how long she'll stay relevant in the story, we might see some genuine feelings/regret she feels for the children throughout all these years, hence the toys she keeps as memorabilia in her secret room.

Krone's exaggeration makes sense if you consider the manga to be from the kids' perspective.

They grew up with Mama and were always affectionate with her - it would be very hard for them to see her as a true monster.

Meanwhile Krone is a stranger that suddenly appeared in their home - the first other adult ever - right when they're dealing with the knowledge that they're literally being farmed for meat. Of course they'd find her monstrous.

She's also depicted a lot nicer in later chapters (perhaps once the kids got used to her) and is always depicted well in her own thoughts / memories.

So the kids are pretty much fucked. With Isabella being shown as one of the smart kids in her past that wanted to escape and is now a mama, shes had YEARS to think about ways to escape the plantation.
