Yeah I can't stand him either. I got to the episode where he runs away (I think it was episode 8) and spends 20 minutes dicking around in the city before dropping it. I also don't like how they found it necessary to draw his asshole.

I want to like Aria, the setting and characters are great for this sorta thing. I thought Iyashikei series were supposed to be shows that you can kick back and unwind to after a hard day's work, or something along those lines

I've only read the Aria manga and absolutely loved it. When Amanchu started airing I figured I'd give it a shot, but I couldn't handle Pikari's autistic noises. Are Akari's "hahi" sounds as annoying in the anime? If so, I have no idea how the anime got so popular.

The fat, magic cat is much more annoying.

I don't mind Aria-shachou, he's a loveable silly little guy.

No, they're not annoying. She doesn't say them too often. And her わわわ〜s are cute as fuck.

Akari's voice and the noises she makes are incredibly sweet and soothing, background music aside I think her and Alicia's voices are the main reason the anime is so relaxing.
