It's not unrealistic for her to want peace, the game at least took some time out to explain this, what is unrealistic is her way of going about it. Again the game goes into this, neither side truly wants the war, in fact in the game because you aren't beholden to Alisha's perspective regarding Hyland, you find out that there actually is a sect of nobles working with Rolance to create trade deals that will ultimately stop the war. Alisha actually thinks that they're committing treason and tries to stop them. You find out that Alisha's attitude was also pissing off a new other council members which just pushed them into Bartlow's pocket. In the game Alisha's goals are right and just, it's just that she goes about achieving it that's the problem.

The 2nd part of the fight has the boss HP locked in phases. So even if you do 2+ million damage, it'll only take away 25% of its HP at most until you lose the seraph. Besides, banish blasts are the best way to deal damage anyway. No idea why people rely on Rose.

You can actually glitch him by doing a lot of damage. He'll skip the insta-kill spell AND the stagger part where he waits nicely for you to MA. He'll just keep on attacking you but deal 0 damage until you MA.

Trials are getting skipped for sure. They're gonna do the the Pendrago arc with the bishop (which is unironically one of the good parts of the game), then Dezel dies, then the fight with Mayvin (no sidequests), and then back to Elysia.
It also depends on wether they'll use 2 episodes for Berseria again or just 1.
