This should be the number 1 reference.
Racist white men with guns sounds pretty western to me, famimart
>demon from another world
>knows about supersize me
Well, the Prince of Lies & Deceit being in line with Dark Forces would make a lot of sense
Do you think they drew it or actually used paper cutouts like SP does?
>The West makes a reference to an anime
>"OMFG WEEBS RUINING EVERYTHING FUCK WEEBS!!!!!!!!"
>Japan makes a reference to the West
>"Based fucking Japan holy shit they understand us, maybe they aren't so bad after all."
That's because Japan only has anime and video games.
The west has lots of music, movies, shows, art, you can't deny its influence.
>You know Araki's /ourguy/ when you see him quote memes for no reason before internet was even born
You're not kidding.
That's because when western shows make references it's either made to parody one of five anime series normalfags are aware of, or just ripping off the animation. The only good one that comes to mind is the protagonist from The Fitfth Element reading a copy of Sanctuary.
The author of Attack On Titan is a massive westaboo and has referenced a shit ton of western things in the manga, including but not limited to:
>The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly (Kenny's whole cowboy aesthetic and the Clint Eastwood references)
>GTA5 (Kenny is heavily based off of Trevor and Rod was inspired by Jimmy, Levi has a conversation with Erwin which is nearly word for word a conversation Trevor and Michael have)
>Life Is Strange (butterfly imagery, Ymir and Historia's faggotry, more things yet to be seen)
>The Village by M. Night Shamalamadingdong (literally everything)
>Madagascar Plan (literally everything, sort of counts as western shit, right?)
>The Human Centipede (you know what you did)
>Firefly (Grisha was inspired by Simon Tam, presumably Faye was inspired by River)
>Jack the Ripper reference
>joke about them living in a "little house on the prairie"
>some sort of american baseball references, dont care to remember them
>there's a titan that looks like David Bowie, a titan that looks like Trump, and a titan that looks like wojak
>the protagonist from The Fitfth Element reading a copy of Sanctuary
Oh yeah, forgot these ones as well:
>Game Of Thrones (author gets into series, immediately dicks, tits, and ass, also a very spoilery plot point is taken directly from it)
>21 Jump Street (according to author, the brohomomance inspired a certain gay chapter)
>Rorscach or however you spell his name (Levi's based off of him)
Also Jaws, The Last Of Us, and references to 80s music as well, too lazy to look them up.
Check'd. You forgot the He-Man, The Room, and "I See Dead People" references.
>made to parody one of five anime series normalfags are aware of, or just ripping off the animation.
Yeah, because Japan doesn't do the same shit when it comes to cartoon references.
And speaking of He-Man, I still don't know if this is a reference or not
they didn't even parody KC, that's just a straight-up copy/paste of the album cover
