Not his Battle City deck. The magnet warriors were pretty good at the time, and the knights are tribute fodder. Gazelle and Beformet are for fusion, and Gardna is an amazing wall in the manga. Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl are awesome in the manga due to their support.

His deck was pretty swell by manga standard. The knight combo with soul rope give him 3 card to summon god quickly (as well as Arcana Knight Joker, a decent boss in R). Same as magnet warrior, decent-ish beater, combine into a 3500 beater that can serve as 3 tributes for god.

Gazelle/Beformet fusion is a 2100 beater that you can bring out in one turn, and you can sacrifice it for a Dark Magician/Buster Blader
