Should the Thousand-Year Blood War arc be animated?
If so, what scene would you look forward to being animated?
cute and comfy stuff
also a bit of info about chad and the whole boxing & uryu and his relationship with his dad
No. It was boring and bad and only a few scenes were worth seeing animated.
The translates of tenshiscave a lot better though, but they only translated three snippets of this novel. They seem to be busy translating the "Spirits are forever you with" novel.
>should the arc where everyone fights meaningless battles and the main character does nothing but get his ass kicked and train so he won't get his ass kicked be animated
>If so, what scene would you look forward to being animated?
-The first invasion
-Unohana vs Zaraki just because we get more Unohana
-The final two chapters especially animated Kazui and Ichika
I would prefer an entire remake since the animation in the first two arcs are really bad, but that would never happen.
If it does come back then I their bias towards IR isn't so blatant this time around. Also change Rangiku's hair to her canon color along with giving Orihime brown eyes instead of grey.
The novel has feel good moments, but also some stupid things. Among the stupid things is having characters act in a manner more suitable for a 3 month timeskip.
For example, it's been 3 years and Renji still needs someone to explain to him what the hell happened to Kira. Aren't they friends as well as fellow vice captains? It's one thing for Kira not to see Hanatarou for 3 years, but Renji and Kira presumably often wait around in the same room as their captains assemble, that conversation should've happened way before.
Similar thing happens here with Ichigo and Uryuu. It's been 3 fucking YEARS and they're not even busy shinigami officers but human college students. Why is he still wondering how Uryuu could afford med school? Not to mention the unnatural dialogue with Tatsuki that's meant to tell readers that she's teaching karate. Should've done that in narrative.
On one hand, I didn't even follow the anime post Bount arc (just watched select scenes) so I doubt I'd stay to watch the messy quincy arc, on the other hand I want Bleach Brave Souls to continue post Fullbring arc and having an anime would help expedite that.
There are only 3 things in the Blood War Arc worth animating.
1) Rukia's Bankai
2) Yoruichi's Raiju Form
3) Aizen Winning
Oh and pic related.
Consider the following.
>Kazui never would have been in a position to erase Yhwach had Ichigo not struck him down first
>Ichigo never would have been in a position to strike him down had Aizen not weakened and distracted him
>Furthermore, Kazui had to have been born from Ichigo, whose birth was the result of one of Aizen's experiments going awry
No matter what way you slice it, it all comes back to Aizen. Aizen is the true hero.
Heros of the Great War:
Aizen - responsible for Isshin-Masaki-White who beget Ichigo who begets Kazui
Urahara - responsible for Ichigo & Mayuri who remakes Kira who inspires Central 46 reforms
Because it hurt us. We stayed with it, shuffling our children into their bedrooms when it came in from a night of drinking, and we let it beat us. That's why.
Things like Yammy being #0 and Ywach being Zangetsu were truly weird to see responses to when the chapters came out. I'm still not sure what the fuck is going on with Kazui.
I'm a nostalgiafag for everything I cared enough to follow for at least three years, whether I'm happy with the way it ends or not. I check out the RK live action movies and the sequel Ashitaro as soon as it came out. I'm all over the Saint Seiya CG movie. I checked to see every time there's a new Gundam though not necessary finishing all. I'm in the new Geass threads. If X and Nana ever restarts I'll be there too despite all my past complaints. And I will always wait for Glass Mask to conclude.
It was pretty shit, but I admit, I'd watch it for these cuties.
What I would love is the whole arc but my personal favorites in order.
Shunsui's Bankai and fight
Old Man's Bankai and fight
Urahara's Bankai and fight
>(Shipping not included, but can be changed)
Give it up already.
Yes. Change it so that
Renji and Rukia have a heartfelt moment that makes their transition from friend to getting engaged less abrupt.
I am now going to reread Bleach for the primary purpose of counting how many times people's arm/hand got cut.
Are the quincies the most fucked faction? As of the ending, not only are they exterminated, they're also in the wrong, mostly morally reprehensible, and their last remaining practitioner is de facto subservient to Gotei 13.
One of his elites is a hand and the other may be a heart. For all we know Gremmy might be the Soul King's brain. He also can't decide what power they get with the Schrift. Gremmy got imagination power because he is a brain. That is assuming that he didn't always had his power.
The Quincy are not extinct. The majority of the Soldat survived the war. It's only the Sternritter that might all be dead. But even with them, a few might be alive. They are also not in the wrong, especially with all the things that concerns the Soul King and the truth that Hisagi will discover. It was a point that both sides of the war are equally right/wrong. And only a few of them are morally reprehensible.
>Shūhei must throw himself into a new fight as the mystery that Kaname Tōsen left behind resurfaces. The story will reveal more details about the four noble families, the Soul King, Arrancar, and Fullbringers.
Actually it was it will reveal the mystery of the world, the Fullbringers and Arrancar, the Soul King, and the great aristocrat houses.
It's not about the individual characters, but them as a collective. Some of them will probably appear, but for all we know it might be just some dude giving exposition about them.
That's the least problem with stuff like people being reduced to skeletons, Byakuya losing his stomach, arms being lost every battle or GigixBambi. Just censoring wise it would be better to release it as OVAs or in a different time slot.
A 15 year old male not becoming interested in the opposite sex (that is considered beautiful in-universe and has no trouble giving birth) that sleeps extremely close to him makes no bloody fucking sense in any world except Ah! My goddess!
Even if the opposite sex would shut him down and love another man, making the interest short. If anything, it would've made their relationship as bros more interesting. And we could've seen Renji teasing Ichigo about it later, and Rukia consoling Orihime about her needless fears. Or something like that.
Ironically, as much as I hate Renji, he's perhaps the most human of them all, considering that he turned his Zan into a busty she-monkey, violently lashed out at his love out of jealousy, and many other humane traits.
I dont know about anyone else, but the last arc felt very rushed.
The start of it was okay, but towards the end it was quite obvious that Kubo was trying to tidy up as many loose ends as possible.
The goggles sternritter was being setup to fight Renji, but instead he got backstabbed by another sternritter and basically did jack shit.
Colonel sanders was also given a meaningless death, and the surviving stern ritters jobbed to yahweh. Burna finger guy turned out to be quincy-reiji : looks like a "bad guy" at first glance but was really a good guy all along. Both him and Jurgen were given rushed backstories in a flashback and killed off quickly.
Royal guards were a joke. We didnt evne get to see their shikais, let alone bankais because Kubo ran out of time.
Most of the captains did nothing useful or were quickly sidelined. Captain AIDs had a largely pointless scene before dying, Captain mom died in a really stupid "hurr lets fight kenpachi to the death" scene. Komamura chose pretty much the most stupid way to power up imaginable. Vaizards jobbed, again.
Ichigo's dad basically did nothing, and despite the huge amount of potential for Uryuu's dad showing up to confront Yahweh (hes literally the only other quincy left who hasnt joined Yahweh), he basically did jack shit except deliver a plot device arrow to his son.
Grimmjow's return was literally pointless. He tries to fight a sternritter then gets put to sleep almost instantly.
And the last couple of sternritter fights were simply wrapped up by having Yahweh kill everyone before being stopped by some lame plot device.
We saw many Soldat after the fights in the Seretei were over, o none of them were killed. And none of the Quincy civilians living in the Wandenreich participated in the war. They are also alive. Several Sternritter had ambigious fates, so it is unknown what happened to them. The rest has been shown several times. List all the evil Quincy and you will see that it is only a few.
He's alright now, he even put on some weight and says he has nothing to do.
New series this year?
Chad becoming a boxer is still stupid. If his whole arc was about choosing to fight to protect, then why would he start fighting for money? He should've fought Mask De Masculine and been inspired to become a pro-wrestler, especially since he's Mexican.
How come no one ever considers the possibility that maybe Chad is donating money he wins to charity?
He wouldn't be the first Mexican orphan to help out other orphans in Japanese fiction.
Okay now I see that you just copy and paste these things without even thinking and that you can't read the manga.
Again just for you.
We saw that many Soldat were alive once the Shinigami stopped fighting in the Seretei and prepared to invade Wahrwelt. We saw many civilians in the Wandenreich, who were not fighting like the woman from Haschwalth's room. They were also alive. Several of the Sternritter like Giselle and Liltotto had wounds that are surviveable and a few like Askin, Lille and BG9 were last shown to be alive.
it has been stated several times that both sides are equally right/wrong. And Yhwach lasts words revealed that the Wandenreich did fight for a just cause.
And again, why don't you actually list the Sternritter that are actually evil instead of just copy and pasting the same words.
This isn't citation. Either provide the source from the manga that proves your claims, or stop posting.
Or perhaps you should actually read the manga. Or otherwise you would actually know this. I already provided the context for the scenes. You can look them up yourself. I'm not going to post countless images here.
Seriously. I provided you the context for the scenes. Are you really that retarded that you can't read the chapters by yourself?
For the last fucking time. We saw many Soldat alive while the Shinigami were preparing to invade the Seretei. We saw that the Wandenreich had civillians during the chapters focusing on them between the invasions. The woman from Haschwalth's room never died and was also never on the battlefield. We never saw BG9 and Lille dying. Both were last seen alive. Nel stated that Askin was alive, when she jumped into the Giftball. Liltotto and Bazz-B had both wounds that are survivable when they lost against Yhwach and Haschwalth and Orihime and Giselle were just five meters away from them. Bambietta and Giselle are zombies they can't exactly die either.
What else do you fucking want? You just copy and past citation and that you need a source. I provived you the fucking context of the scenes, so that you can read it up yourself. Or are you that illiterate that you can't read the manga?
Read the fucking manga. Read the chapters where the Shinigami are preparing to invade Wahrwelt. Read the chapter where we saw Uryuu becoming Yhwach's successor. Read the chapter where Giselle was stabbed in the heart. Read the Auswahlen chapters. Read the chapter where Giselle and Liltotto lost. Read the chapter of Nel jumping into the Giftball. Read the chapter of Lille confronting Kira.
If you can't even do that than it is your own fault.
Okay. You are either really retarded or just an annoying troll. I gave you the actual chapters, so that you can read them. That is a source.
You just have to go to any mangasite and click the corresponding chapters. If you actually read Bleach you should know when which of the events happened.
But since you so far did not do that and instead just parroted the same words without knowing what they mean, I really wonder if you have the intellectual capability to perform such a simple task.
Your original claim >>152309487
>The majority of the Soldat survived the war.
>It's only the Sternritter that might all be dead. But even with them, a few might be alive.
Nothing in the manga shows any of the Quincy besides Ichigo and Uryu are still alive. You're literally claiming headcanon as fact.
We saw the Soldat alive in the Seretei even after the Shinigami stopped fighting them. What the fuck should have killed them? It is your headcanon that they are all dead. First provide a source that they actually have been killed.
And apparently you didn't read the word "might". Because then you would understand that I didn't say that the Sternritter are alive, but that several of them have a chance to be alive. And nothing so far states that they are all dead.
Are you retarded? I provided you the source several times. Read the chapters where the Shinigami are preparing to invade Wahrwelt and Ichigo killed the Soul King. You can clearly see the Soldat being alive. What is so hard for you to actually do that?
Halfway through the war? You really are retarded. That was the endpahse of the war and all the Shinigami were stated to have stopped fighting. By the time Ichigo killed the Soul King no one was fighting anymore in the Seretei. So again who the fuck should have killed them?
They didn't get selected. Yhwach stated that it was only for the Sternritter, that still had power. Otherwise we would have seen an image of the Soldat being selected or that Ryuken was also targetted. And no the burden of proof is not with me. You are accusing the Quincy of being all dead. So you have to actually proof that they were killed. And neither is that the null hypothesis. Null hypothesis is when there is no effect, while H1 is the hypothesis were there is actually an effect. So null hypothesis is that none of them were selected and now you have to prove that any of them were selected.
That was the original claim:
So no, burden of proof does not lie with me. You have to show proof that the Quincy are actually extinct. And them not showing up in the epilogue is not proof. Otherwise they Arrancar would also be all extinct. And as a matter of fact I already showed that nothing so far detrimental to the survival of the Soldat. But that doesn't matter. You have to proof that they are all extinct.
>You have to proof that they are all extinct.
But that was never my claim. If you made the claim "The Quincy are not extinct" then you need to back that with a source. At most, you can claim, "the Quincy might not be extinct", but unfortunately you didn't. Your claim is inherently false.
>But that was never my claim.
>Are the quincies the most fucked faction? As of the ending, not only are they exterminated,
You're a liar. This was the original claim, for which you need the burden of proof, which obviosuly does not lie with me.
So you are just randomly jumping into a discussion that had did not involve you? Yeah sure.
And even if that's true, if you are answering for someone else, than you have to provide the burden of proof the other person failed to deliver. That the Quincy are exitinct is the original claim and burden of proof lies with that. Something that you have failed so far to deliver.
So until you make any other claims, why don't you provide any proof. And nothing I stated is incorrect so far. but as I stated, deliver some proof first.
Just in case you didn't know. They actually made 3 OVA's that take place during Ringo vs Ikki and Kogarasumaru vs Old Sleeping Forest. Those were some of my favorite moments and it was sick to see them get animated.
Unless there is proof that the Quincy were extermintated, the statement was not incorrect. And since the first claim was that the Quincy are exterminated, the burden of proof lies with that claim. So first there has to be proof that the Quincy were exterminated. Only if that is actually given, is the statement that the Quincy are not exterminated incorrect.
No. That goes against the definition of burden of proof. "When two parties are in a discussion and one makes a claim that the other disputes, the one who makes the claim typically has a burden of proof to justify or substantiate that claim".
The first claim was that Quincy are exterminated, so burden of proof lies with that. Until there is any proof for that claim, I don't have to proof anything so far. I only have to show that there is now proof that the Quincy were exterminated, which I did.
So again, where is any proof for that claim? Unless you have any proof anything you claim in invalid and incorrect.
The first claim was also without source or citation, but so was your own statement, therefore neither statement is valid. You've gone past burden of proof as a viable argument and are now using the "burden of proof fallacy" to claim that only one point of view requires citation to be correct.
>he turned his Zan into a busty she-monkey
To this day I still deny that this happens in canon and Renji's zan spirit is still a nue.
You are just digging yourself deeper, you know? It did not go past the point of burden of proof. it is still a valid argument, until the first claim has any proof. Until you provide any proof for that, I've to only proof that there is no proof that indicates that the Quincy are exterminated. I've provided plenty of evidence for that, which you still ignore.
The current situation is very simple. it was first claimed that the Quincy are exterminated, without showing proof. Then I provided evidence that proved that there is nothing that points towards the Quincy being exterminated. If there is nothing that indicates that the Quincy are exterminated, then there is no reason to assume that they are. I provided that and showed evidence for that and until you show any proof to back up the first claim, that is all I need.
The Arrancar by your logic would also be exterminated, since there is no proof that they are alive, when you first need some proof that they are all wiped out.
So either provide any proof or be quiet.
You haven't provided a singlr citable piece of evidence to prove your claim that "The Quincy are not extinct", only speculation that indicates they may not be extinct; they are not the same thing. I don't need to prove anything other than the fact that your claim is not validated by any source in the manga. The fact that your claim waas originally made in responce to an equally invalid claim no longer matters in this discussion.
No, you can't get out of this. This is not how it works. You can't just magically give the burden of proof to someone else. It still matters that the first claim is invalid. It is actually quite pathetic how hard you try to defend an invalid claim without any proof. So either stop being a bitch and finally admit that you just claimed something without any proof or be quiet.
There is no reason to assume that the Quincy are extinct. So why would that claim exist? Until you provide any proof any further discussion is meaningless.
Again, the original claim is irrelevant to this discussion; you've already demonstrated a criminal misunderstanding of "burden of proof" so I suggest you stop hiding behind that argument. The only correct statement in this scenario is "The Quincy may or may not be extinct, excluding the Isshin and Kurosaki families". There is nothing explicitly stated in the manga that states otherwise.
And that is where you are wrong. You can't just state that the original claim is irrelevant for the discussion. It is you who doesn't seem to understand how burden of proof works.
And that is not the only correct statement. Unless there is anything that indicates that the Quincy are exterminated then it means that there is no reason to assume it in the first place. Again by your logic the Arrancar would also all be dead.
You can't even claim that the Quincy may be dead, unless you show any indication for why you think that may be the case. And if them not appearing in the epilogue is "proof" for you, then it also mean that the Arrancar also may be all dead.
The Arrancar argument is false equivalence since we were given information about what happened to them in the subsequent databook as well as in a subsequent arc; neither of which is the case for the Quincy.
I would really look forward to seeing Ichigo's dual wielding being completely meaningless. Yamamoto being completely blown the fuck out was cool. Also seeing, despite the hype, the royal guard being completely useless, just so the main cast can once again get 5 more minutes to shine with new, shiny power-ups. And way more time dedicated to henchmen duels than the main antagonist, and his actual fight just consisting of black shapes that you don't know what they are and don't understand doing stretchy stuff. So exciting! And having the main antagonist's motivations explained almost right before it ends, a stroke of genius. The main antagonist being defeated by a deus ex machina introduced just a few episodes before. So many great moments!
>yfw it didn't and more content is on the way
I'm not sure you intended to reinforce my preference for the Ishida/Orihime ship with this passage, but somehow you just did.
orihime said "welcome home kurosaki-kun"
yuzu wanted orihime to stay longer
yuzu and orihime cooked dinner together
orihime ate said dinner with her future family
Regardless of pairing, this is the reason anything involving Rukia is great.
I'd say their stuff is decent. Line-work could be better, foreshortening and anatomy can be a bit iffy, and they tend to look pretty static, but their coloring is pretty damn good.
But I wasn't talking about their art per-se. Rather, some of the shit they say in their commentaries. Their newest LinkxZelda pic contains... quite the rant.
Nah, majority of RR fanart keeps her character. A lot of IR fanart makes Rukia act like Orihime for some reason.
They wouldn't have ended if they did have the rights.
Shuiesha doesn't want more bleach money cause something happened between them and Kubo.
He might have too much % of bleach and that pissed them off.
Her height, anon.
I was talking about her height.
She is tiny and adorable and perfect.
And I was talking about keeping her in character.
I agree that her height is good. It contrasts well with her confident and strong personality. I think Kubo really nailed it with character design.
For Bleach manga to conclude in August 2016 with no anime running is a bit strange. Side materials like games, movies, musicals tend to need a main work to generate a main consumer base.
Bleach had a lot of video games circa 2005-2009, then it tapers off to only a few released in the following years. Now there are 2(?), including the pretty well-received Brave Souls and a new partnership to release games in China (titles chosen are Bleach and OPM).
Musical had a successful run from 2005-2010, then the attempt at reprise in 2011-2012 failed as people don't like the original storyline and preferred the original cast. It went vacuum for a few years and then on 2016 they announced a revival, same old storyline with a whole new cast, who is more well-received than the 2011-2012 roster. This would've led to cashing in with the new cast for more shows in the next few years, but with no manga or anime I wonder if they can coast by with 2.5D fanbase alone.
Same goes for the live action. It would've been better to release it in say 2014 while the main work was still running. Who will still care about Bleach in 2018?
Yeah, there is an ova that shows him having children or grandchildren. One of them looks like him and the other like Winry. It doesn't look like he made it back or Winry to our world, so it must be her doppelgänger.
>so it must be her doppelgänger.
If nothing else, we will get at least another chapter from Kubo and if the movie is successful, we might have something like the Death Note movies, where they will end up with their own verse and canon. The director of Bleach is going to make the Death Note sequel Light Up the new world afterall.
>A lot of IR fanart makes Rukia act like Orihime for some reason.
Methinks you are being unfairly biased.
Especially with the revelation that Rukia does, in fact, drops spaghetti when it comes to dealing with romance.
>, we will get at least another chapter from Kubo
I'm excited, but confused. The villian in the new chapter is supposedly going to show up in the live-action so is the live-action not going to follow the manga?
Well no shit they do, but who will they promote it to? Death Note and Kenshin are two successful manga-based LAs that ride on a fanbase that still exist. Death Note in particular panders to the L fanbase that wants to see him win, plus the "handsome men" fanbase. Kenshin have global nostalgiafags, plus the fanbase of costumed martial art movies who may not care about anime/manga to come and see it.
I guess we will see this year, what kind of movie they're making and who they want to see it. I saw rumors that Tamaki Hiroshi and Shirota Yuu play Byakuya and Renji respectively though, so those actors' popularities are banked on at least.
It has already been stated that it will not follow the the story of the manga. Some elements will be incorporated though. Renji may be there trying to take Rukia back, but because of the new villain, things might go off-rails.
>It seems that Kubo is going to make a manga special for the live action movie. Most likely an intro. And the movie will have original enemies. Oh and Fishbone D will probably still be the first Hollow encounter. Designs in movie looks weird because CGI will take over most of the movie effects. Kubo wants a humanoid original bad guy because of this.
Summary translation from the blog of a Japanese fan who went to Jump Festa
She officially changes her last name but still goes with her former name for professional purpose.
For the first 7 years it's even practical, having 2 Abarai-fukutaichous would be confusing. But now there's 2 Kuchiki-taichous so maybe she should just tell everyone to call her Rukia.
I love how Kommamura's sacrifice was rendered pointless, because Bambi was brought back by Zombietarp and then killed by Ywach.
So Komma literally wasted his life. Fucking idiot.
And it's not even clear, people assume it's Renji because it looks like a tall guy with brownish hair wearing shihakushou and something on his head that looks like Renji's old shades.
Nel stated that she also was going to say Askin and the novel will also be about the Quincy, since the Soul King is a Quincy. It was also never stated that the Hisagi novel will mention the individual Arrancar, but rather that the mystery behind the Arrancar as a race will be discovered.
>but rather that the mystery behind the Arrancar as a race will be discovered.
It'll probably confirm if they're all dead or not though. Just like how this novel confirmed that Urahara and Yoruichi are alive.
If some Quincy survived then maybe they're living in HM now. They really have nowhere else to go.
It is not void. You can't just claim something without any evidence. Unless there is any evidence, then there no reason to assume that both races are extinct. And that you now also assume that the Arrancar are also extinct shows how faulty your argument is.
cant wait for grimmjow and nel and her buddies to be revealed to alive and fine like urahara and yoruichi were just so fans can stop fighting about it. also expecting some mention of harribel and her trio since narita pays attention to details like that.
It's kinda funny that the Hisagi novel will be about everything but Hisagi. Poor Shuuhei can never get a break.
He will have a fight at the very least. But yeah. he is more like the vehicle that is going to tell a bunch of stories. Durarara, Baccano and Spirits are forever with you are similiar in that regard. aren't they? Narita probably chose him for four reasons:
He is popular but not important
He has an unknown Bankai
He is connected to Tosen whose left behind secret (probably something about his murdered friend) will be connected to the other mysteries
He has a motorbike. Narita loves motorbikes.
I looked up the original post
and I'm not certain but it seems that the one who thinks the designs on CG look weird and wants a humanoid bad guy is the blogger, not Kubo? Which means they haven't even seen the designs.
I see you have adapted my argument; which means that you agree that without any valid citation, there is no proof that any of the Quincy survived the war. Your argument goes both ways.
I just want a slice of life manga or anime with Rukia living in Ichigo's closet and they do ghost buster shenanigans and eventually grow an unbreakable bond and one fateful night fuck like rabbits in their bed and the school continues the rumors about them and it turns out Rukia gets pregnant.
It's not. Seriously, how long are you going to mourn a shounen pairing that never had a chance in the first place?
That pic reminds me how it's a bummer that the epilogue doesn't say anything about what Ichigo does nowadays aside from scowling and having an overpowered kid who wanders around town alone at age 4-5.
Articles and a short documentary online. The seventh grader was taking public transportation by herself on the way to school.
Also a popular Japanese tv show thats centered around children as young as two or three running a quick errand for their parents.
7th grader is already a teenager, whereas online articles typically mention elementary school kids of age 7-9.
Kazui is 5 at most. Unless Ichigo knocks up Orihime before graduation. And the difference between a 5 year old and a 7 year old is much more significant than that of a 15 & 17 year old.
He's a pretty boring character that never actually effects the plot whenever he popped up so it makes sense. By Kubo's admittance he's a fanservice character. Which was all the worse during that last arc since it was clear he was only around because fans liked him and not because Kubo had any plans in mind for something he could do that would interest him.
On the topic of kids, how much of a genius is Ichika? She's literally (not just physically) 6 years old and already finished the first 4-years of the academy curriculum.
Kaien, a genius, finished the 6-year course in 2 years, and Gin, another genius, finished it in 1.
The little girl in the short documentary was seven. My mistake.
I read an article by an American woman who lives in Japan, and started a family with her Japanese husband. She stated that her three year old will be taking the bus to kindergarten by himself.
She also stated that Japanese children start taking public transport or walking by themselves to school at the age of fix or six.
>genius is Ichika
Probably not genius since she'd be finsihed if she was. But she's the daughter of two high ranking officers with bankai, and probably gets special treatment for being part of the Kuchiki clan.
She's a gotei apprentice though so she's not actually all the way finished with her studies.
So... can we all agree that we should just stop at Aizen arc (anime)? Or should i give the fullbringer arc another try? I don't mind it in the manga, but it feels too filler-y most of the times.
Fullbring arc wasn't so bad IMO. If you want a "happier" ending you can continue there, the animation is pretty good too in those episodes. Though tbqh in terms of narrative, the Aizen arc pretty much already finished the story.
Ichigo never grew out of his "must have fair fights" code, or did he? Even when fighting Yhwach he still stupidly made a point about it being 2 (with Orihime) vs 1.
I want it back for the sole reason of wanting the Brave Souls game to cover the last arc.
But if they can make it work without an anime (meaning they'd commission new stills, cast VAs for new characters and come up with more original movesets based only on the manga, and still make a profit) it's fine too.
That's such a sad topic to bring up though.
I just like how Orihime lost her only family at the Kurosaki clinic and then rebuilt it with the boy that lived her. It's like something good came out of a place that held bad/tragic memories. I'm not saying that I like that Sora in general btw.
Precisely because it's sad. Of course not like bringing it up casually. It could also be unspoken but implied, like Orihime looking at the clinic, or bonding over surviving a loved one.
I'd much prefer Ichigo bringing home another girl and almost scoring until Rukia loudly gives him advice from the closet.
He kicks Rukia out when his girl goes to the bathroom, and when he tries to restart another one shouts advice from the ceiling. It's Isshin.
>The title wasn't Bleach when Tite Kubo decided to draw a story about Shinigami. This was before he drew the one-shot manga that appeared in Akamaru Jump. The weapon wasn't a sword, but a scythe. Only Rukia had a scythe and the other characters used guns. At that point, the title was Snipe (as in "Sniper"). Right before he started drawing, he began to think that a sword would be better and realized he couldn't use Snipe as a title anymore. He began looking for a title that grasped the bigger picture. Shinigami are associated with the color black, but it would have been boring to use "black". "White", on the other hand, can suggest black as a complementary color. So Tite Kubo chose "Bleach" to evoke the impression of the color white.
Basically, the real reason is because Kubo thinks it sounds cool.
I have always preferred Rukia with Renji and Orihime with Ishida but until now I've never considered how that outcome might have led into an awesome universe in which the cast constantly bullies Ichigo regarding his love life.
No it shouldn't.
That last arc was an abortion, and I feel sorry for anyone who had any real hope of Kubo getting his shit together.
I honestly liked the first invasion. Then the training/flashback arc was okay. The Wandenreich was a mess. Maybe they can go FMA non-Brotherhood with it.
Wonder what Ichika's zanpakuto spirit would look like. Maybe a Raijuu, judging by the shape of that tsuba.
Some wants the anime to continue, some doesn't.
Would anyone put money into a fan animation project in hopes of Shueisha-sempai noticing the interest, though?
Her mom's is a yuki-onna and her dad's is a nue, so if she also gets a mythical Japanese creature it would not be out of place.
Ah, I forgot about Thundercat.
Aside from cat, Raijuu is also portrayed as fox, wolf or weasel though so Ichika can get one of the others.
>chapter with this transformation is called Horn of Salvation
>God, my rock, in him I will take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge. My savior, you save me from violence.
>horn of salvation
>ywn read a doujin where kazui and uncle aizen are having a tea party. aizen is sitting on a small toy chair and drinking imaginaty tea from a toy teacup. while being absolutely serious about it.
Everything with this man. He did nothing wrong and fought like a Quincy till the unfair end
Just got round to reading the Spirits Are Forever With You summaries and the prologue
>The story starts with the 1st page of an article written by Hisagi Shuuhei for Seireitei Communications. His readers asked him to write about Don Kanonji. Why? Because there was a certain “incident” in the 17 months between Kurosaki Ichigo losing and regaining his powers. Hisagi wrote an article to shed light on this incident —
>However, the rest of the article is missing. Central 46 replaced it with a censored version and the original one was burned.
kind of already suggests why Hisagi was picked as the MC of Narita's next novel.
Hisagi came up in the 13 BLADES short story as well.
It seems like Narita had been planning this storyline for a while now, its likely he's been playing close attention to the final arc in order to wrap up a lot of Kubo's loose ends.
Its not a lightning bolt
Kubo drew the same shape on harribels face, and repeats it on renjis tsuba
To kubo, that's more a tribal shape.
Another thing to remember, kain was water, isshin was fire, ichigo was darkness, relatives don't have a strict relation to their zans elements.
It's far more likely her zan will be serated or jagged like her fathers, if her tsuba is also tribal.
What did Ichigo exactly do during the final arc?
There isn't a single instance where Ichigo actually played a role in the final arc.
Ichigo had no goals or real motivation to fight Yhwach other than he attacked these people I barely have a connection to with the exception of a few people. Ichigo talks so little in the 88 chapters he appears in that we don't know his thoughts, feelings, fears, and desires other than I have to fight Yhwach and Yhwach will monologue for everything else
Ichigo wasn't even needed to kill Yhwach since anyone else could've swung a sword after the deus ex arrow even after spending so much time establishing Ichigo has powered up he was still beaten by Askim off screen
What did Ichigo actually do?
Right, I have to mention how Ichigo devolved from a guy who shows his resolve and even against foes who are significantly stronger than himself to a person who pisses himself at the sight of Yhwach that had to have Renji shout at him to make him fight
Ichigo wants to protect people, him losing his zan, the truth of his birth and the whole thing at the end with him going into despair and rising again is to show that he's still a human with emotions.
Kubo does it again.
I don't want the anime coming back if the last five chapters aren't retconned into at least thirty chapters worth of stuff. The rushed ending could have been even shittier, but I don't want to let down people who didn't read the arc.
My minimum requests would be- something substantial depicting the real origins of the soul king, a fight with Haschwalth at least as long as the other elite SR fights, a clarified history of the Vandenreich, a little more drama and mystery surrounding Uryuu's loyalty and his given powers, and finally, a means of defeating Yhwach which makes more sense than "well, he didn't really check what Ryuken was concocting".
I believe if someone actually makes the anime, they'd be pretty eager to do this. Just out of the willingness to make a better product.
Kubo's art and writing go hand in hand, though; he's the kind of person who will draw a character first, and then build a story around them (ie. Rukia and Bleach). Anyone writing for Kubo would really need to be in sync with Kubo's artistic process; the whole of Bleach's early success was because of his amazing character and Bankai designs, which he created along with each Captain.
Okay, lets start simply post royal guard
He saved kenpachis life, which in turn allowed kenpachi to eventually hold off gerard (and as we know, buying time against gerard was essential)
Then, he's the reason grimmjow, neliel, and the fullbringers were there. Without that, askin wouldn't be dead, or if he was, yoruichi, her bro, and urahara would have died. Ishida also would not have been delivered up to the floating platforms which is where he got the special arrow.
Then ichigo fought ywach and pushed him to take his quincy hollow powers away, which meant that when tsukishima restored his bankai, his shinigami powers allowed for that break apart attack.
Lastly, aizens assault wouldn't have worked if it was anyone other than ichigo, cause they would have seen the illusion instead of aizen.
Oh, and there's also the fact that ishida would likely not trust anyone else to make the killing blow other than ichigo
Not him but I'll respond.
>He saved kenpachis life
Fair point, one of the few moments when he was actually shining this arc.
> he's the reason grimmjow, neliel, and the fullbringers were there
It is true, but all of these are results of his past actions, and I guess the complaint was about what Ichigo himself did in the last arc.
>pushed him to take his quincy hollow powers away
He was gonna take them regardless of Ichigo's performance. That reminds me, we still don't know why he needed them after absorbing the SK.
>which meant that when tsukishima restored his bankai, his shinigami powers allowed for that break apart attack
Could you elaborate?
>aizens assault wouldn't have worked if it was anyone other than ichigo
Royal Guards, Quincy and possibly Ginjo should be able to pull a slash like this off and they (likely) didn't see KS.
>ishida would likely not trust anyone else to make the killing blow other than ichigo
Back in HM, Ishida entrusted his life to Mayuri (who murdered his grandfather and people) and Renji (who he only knew through one short fight). I don't think he would have a problem.
Only if they get the bleach anime writers to help Kubo fix this clusterfuck of silliness and we get a two hour ending that ties up some loose ends and shows a small adventure starring ichigo and rukiyas kid.
Who's going to be the voice of reason between the two of them? Ichika's older, but she seems to have inherited her dad's impetuousness.
Okay, so why. Why is, in fact the operative question here. What serves the form of when, which is itself the unknowing blind servant of why. So why do I keep running into you.
Y-you cute piece of junk!~
Less voice of reason more very loud girl who fights Ichika and has more experience knowledge so she'll be the one to explain things.
I'm thinking they'll be in some situation, wi
Yu Yu Hakusho did it.
Kubo can make a new manga himself, just as long as he resists making assloads of characters and a setting with a scope too wide to explain in less than a couple years.
Chad and Orihime are both orphans who does well in school. Chad and Orihime both work straight out of high school instead of going to university.
And yet, I don't see people up in arms about Chad not pursuing higher education?
Everyone in the realms inhaled a bit of Ulquiorra upon his death, and that, my dear chanlings is why bleach was cancelled. Everyone caught his nihilistic defeatism upon death. He had the last laugh, or maybe the first laugh. Did he ever laugh? Well, there's a little bit of Ulquiorra in us all, that's what matters now.
>I MAY ACTUALLY FUCKING HATE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM
>WHY CAN'T THEY JUST DO WHAT I TELL THEM TO DO
>I'M SURE NORRIN RADD NEVER HAD TO PUT UP WITH THIS TRASH
>I GAVE UP FANFIC HADES FOR THIS
The only pure love in this horrid world of ours.
>Giselle drove Ywach to crazy town station upon her absorbing into Ywach
>You re-read his dialogue after her death
>Everything makes sense, doesn't it?
>The nightmare has only just started for you
I wasn't on /a/ back when this reveal happened in the manga. I'm really curious how /a/ reacted. Was it shock? Did many expect a higher number? Was there a shitstorm?
Reaching One Piece level is a one in a trillion occurrence. Kubo could make something that looks really stylish and could even write a good plot if he took the time to learn from his mistakes (which he probably wouldn't), but no mangaka will come close to Oda's level for a long time.
Kubo would pobably have learnt from his mistakes. Thinks like too many characters should be something he would have learned from. Honestly the final arc was, when it came to his usual mistakes, quite the improvement. Many other things are because of how he things Shonen manga should be. If he would write a Seinen, he would probably approach things differently.
>50 years ago the Gotei has so few days off that Byakuya, a rich noble with a butler as his disposal, needed 2 months to go through marriage procedures
They really go out of their way to portray Yama-jii's SS as backwards ass bureaucracy hell.
According to who? Everyone keep saying how Orihime was beautiful though. To Ichigo, Rukia had the body of his little sister. He never quite perceived her as attractive.
Ichigo was clearly into women with developed curves. Rukia used his nine years old sister's pajamas. If anyone would find the other attractive, it would have been Rukia because Ichigo is orange haired Kaien in appearance.
Renji was always better than Ichigo. Ichigo became a pussy when he lost his powers and needed to be babysat. Rukia was his babysitter and mommy more than a companion and equal. That's why I was against the pairing.
Renji was shat on by the plot but he never acted as a pussy when his sword broke in two times. He also lived a childhood far rougher than Ichigo and wasn't traumatized over petty bullshit. Rukia wanted to marry a man, not a little boy.
>Should the Thousand-Year Blood War arc be animated?
>It is Kubo's endgame.
Renji definitely finds her attractive, Byakuya probably too since she basically looks like Hisana, Keigo and the boys at school thought she was attractive, Orihime called her beautiful. Those are the only examples I could think of.
The characters whos beauty was brought up the most are Rangiku and Orihime though especially Orihime.
People who think Rukia is attractive: Renji, Kon, Keigo, Byakuya (by virtue of being Hisana's doppelganger), Orihime
People who think Rangiku is attractive:
Gin, Hisagi, Iba, Kon, Keigo, Isshin, Tatsuki
People who think Orihime is attractive: Ichigo, Keigo, the fanboys at school who think she's an idol and sneak pictures of her, Kon, Karin, Tatsuki, Yumichika, Aizen, Loly, Chizuru, Shishigawara
>IRfags thought rukia was unhappy to get married to renji because of the cover
>novel reveals it was a mutual decision and that shes super excited and happy
in japan. it wont be.
in america they'll just color it black.
in germany they'll just cut every scene she's in. even the ending ones. jk. they'll just remove all the pointy stuff though.
Killed people to prove his worth to Aizen.
Emotionally messed with Rukia, Byakuya, Kira, Hinamori and Hitsugaya.
Pursued a revenge Rangiku never wanted instead of just be by her side for 100 years.
>ywn read a doujin about Karin the tittymonster
>ywn get any more material involving Karin the tittymonster in general
I'd love to see Toshiro's entire transformation and fight animated.
A lot of anons seem to take it for granted that Kazui's going to be a boob guy like his dad when he grows up, but I don't think he's going to enjoy them in a sexual way. I think he's just going to like big breasts because they're soft and comfy.
Why did Ichigo choose that kind of haircut? Because he would look like his dad more? Because Aizen inspired him? Also, is Yuzu still the one who cuts his hair?
I have so many questions.
I think Kubo wanted that he looked like his father.
Fangirls wanted an Ichigo with long hair, but I think that is not the idea that Kubo had of an adult married Ichigo, and I don't think that long hair suits Ichigo's personality, he don't like to stand out
>Killed people to prove his worth to Aizen.
What, the third seat? Pretty sure that was one of the guys that messed with Rangiku anyway.
>Emotionally messed with Rukia, Byakuya, Kira, Hinamori and Hitsugaya
From soul society's perspective Rukia was a prisoner about to die, nobody really seemed to care about that. He never did anything to Byakuya, and Kira's confirmed to be naturally screwed up so Gin did nothing there. Hinamori and Hitsugaya were way more messed up by Aizen than Gin.
>Pursued a revenge Rangiku never wanted instead of just be by her side for 100 year
>ignoring Rangiku's post mortem of Gin where she was ultimately thankful to him
>ignoring that Gin was aware he could fail and distancing himself allowed her to develope independence and the strength to stand on her own
C'mon son, and even if she didn't ask it was clear something was wrong with Gin's line of changing things 'so Rangiku won't cry anymore'
Well, to Byakuya he's just being a normal ass really. But it's not about whether people care about Rukia, it's about showing that he does those things with no practical purposes, thus suggesting that he just does it for some sadistic fun.
As for Rangiku? If he never went for revenge in the first place, then he won't need to worry about "he could fail". Sure, Rangiku is ultimately thankful to him, but at that point, her choice was only between accepting or resenting him. Before that, when he's still alive, she was miserable due to his distancing himself even though she's right there, like dangling something she can't have and yet can't discard.
Look at Rangiku's poem:
>To know sorrow is not terrifying.
>What is terrifying is to know you can't go back
>to happiness you could have.
Given the choice, don't you think she'd rather have that happiness and him not taking that snake's path in the first place? Who is he to say she'd never ever develop independence without him being a villain?
That still doesn't make him Mayuri or Aizen levels of evil, which most people try to treat him like he's beyond them when they bring up the scene with Rukia, or Hiyori.
"when you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves."
Gin is smart enough to keep this in mind and that's why he distances himself. Obviously he feels getting the hogkyoku and restoring Rangiku's soul was something that needed to happen, and the only problem with that is Kubo never bothers to fully flesh out these details.
>Look at Rangiku's poem:
anon she says it herself in the novels and 13 blades that she was ultimately thankful because in the end the true Gin was the one that she knew.
>Who is he to say she'd never ever develop independence without him being a villain?
She's the one who says it anon.
>Is it worth to force myself through the first episodes
No. If you really want to experience Bleach just read the manga, you can get through the five or so chapters it takes to make an episode in less time than to watch.
>That still doesn't make him Mayuri or Aizen levels of evil, which most people try to treat him like he's beyond them when they bring up the scene with Rukia, or Hiyori.
But this >>152376804 only asked if Gin did anything wrong. And he did.
She said that she'd be stuck in the same spot if he had left her AND left her something to remember him by.
She didn't say it's better than him NOT LEAVING in the first place anon.
I'm not arguing on that anon's behalf. I'm making a point about how people have a tendency to paint Gin to be worse than he really is, and ignore most of what is implied and blatantly stated about him and his relationship with Rangiku.
>She didn't say it's better than him NOT LEAVING in the first place anon
She followed HIM to the Seireitei anyway. They attended the Academy together, and were likely still able to see each other during the period before his betrayal, considering Aizen stated that Gin had affection for her, he wouldn't come to such a conclusion unless the two would still be able to see each other during the 100 years they served the gotei. And remember at the end of the day, the reason Gin did any of that was Aizen's fault.
>before the rushed trainwreck that is the last 5 chapters
Sure, it has a few problems but seeing it animated should be fun.
>after the last 5 chapters
Heck no, and I'm saying it as a Bleach fan.
I think he'd just be 'content'.
At the end of the day he doesn't contribute much to the victory. And then he can't speak anymore. His only consolation is perhaps the wolf brothers who's following in his footsteps and can act as translator between him and Iba.
Which character do you think had the coolest-looking Bankai?
For me it's Ginjo
>At the end of the day he doesn't contribute much to the victory
He took out a quincy capable of ending the whole war on her own.
>B-but she came back as a zombie
Yeah but Giselle states that Quincy need to be dead to be used by her and that dead zombies are significantly weaker than when they were alive.
theres 120 people here yet no ones saying anything
There's still 120 people here. No one wants to say anything for whatever reason. There's really nothing to talk about anyways. Translations for the novel come out slowly, and theres no other topic to talk about and I'd rather not get into shipping for the 100th time.
Bleach: Spirits Are Forever With You vol.1; 93,319
Bleach: Spirits Are Forever With You vol.2; 63,292
Bleach: The Death Save The Strawberry; 55,505
It's still increasing but I don't think the final sales will exceed DSTS.
Hisagi novel may sell better because Narita has his own fanbase.
>His older brother only showed up for like two chapters
Are you being serious right now anon?
I'd buy a ByakuyaxToushirou wedding novel.
21 sketches in total, but that was for two novels. we got 12 this novel, so we'll probably get the same amount in the next then we have the one-shot by Kubo for the film and thats it.
I'm gonna miss his art.
Rukia and the main cast are finished with this novel. The next one will be about other characters then we have the one-shot and thats it. There's always the chance that Kubo posts a random doodle on twitter, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.
