The novel has feel good moments, but also some stupid things. Among the stupid things is having characters act in a manner more suitable for a 3 month timeskip.

For example, it's been 3 years and Renji still needs someone to explain to him what the hell happened to Kira. Aren't they friends as well as fellow vice captains? It's one thing for Kira not to see Hanatarou for 3 years, but Renji and Kira presumably often wait around in the same room as their captains assemble, that conversation should've happened way before.

Similar thing happens here with Ichigo and Uryuu. It's been 3 fucking YEARS and they're not even busy shinigami officers but human college students. Why is he still wondering how Uryuu could afford med school? Not to mention the unnatural dialogue with Tatsuki that's meant to tell readers that she's teaching karate. Should've done that in narrative.

A 15 year old male not becoming interested in the opposite sex (that is considered beautiful in-universe and has no trouble giving birth) that sleeps extremely close to him makes no bloody fucking sense in any world except Ah! My goddess!

Even if the opposite sex would shut him down and love another man, making the interest short. If anything, it would've made their relationship as bros more interesting. And we could've seen Renji teasing Ichigo about it later, and Rukia consoling Orihime about her needless fears. Or something like that.

Ironically, as much as I hate Renji, he's perhaps the most human of them all, considering that he turned his Zan into a busty she-monkey, violently lashed out at his love out of jealousy, and many other humane traits.

I dont know about anyone else, but the last arc felt very rushed.

The start of it was okay, but towards the end it was quite obvious that Kubo was trying to tidy up as many loose ends as possible.

The goggles sternritter was being setup to fight Renji, but instead he got backstabbed by another sternritter and basically did jack shit.

Colonel sanders was also given a meaningless death, and the surviving stern ritters jobbed to yahweh. Burna finger guy turned out to be quincy-reiji : looks like a "bad guy" at first glance but was really a good guy all along. Both him and Jurgen were given rushed backstories in a flashback and killed off quickly.

Royal guards were a joke. We didnt evne get to see their shikais, let alone bankais because Kubo ran out of time.

Most of the captains did nothing useful or were quickly sidelined. Captain AIDs had a largely pointless scene before dying, Captain mom died in a really stupid "hurr lets fight kenpachi to the death" scene. Komamura chose pretty much the most stupid way to power up imaginable. Vaizards jobbed, again.

Ichigo's dad basically did nothing, and despite the huge amount of potential for Uryuu's dad showing up to confront Yahweh (hes literally the only other quincy left who hasnt joined Yahweh), he basically did jack shit except deliver a plot device arrow to his son.

Grimmjow's return was literally pointless. He tries to fight a sternritter then gets put to sleep almost instantly.

And the last couple of sternritter fights were simply wrapped up by having Yahweh kill everyone before being stopped by some lame plot device.

Liltotto and Bazz-B had both wounds that are survivable when they lost against Yhwach and Haschwalth and Orihime and Giselle were just five meters away from them. Bambietta and Giselle are zombies they can't exactly die either.

I would really look forward to seeing Ichigo's dual wielding being completely meaningless. Yamamoto being completely blown the fuck out was cool. And way more time dedicated to henchmen duels than the main antagonist, and his actual fight just consisting of black shapes that you don't know what they are and don't understand doing stretchy stuff. So exciting! And having the main antagonist's motivations explained almost right before it ends, a stroke of genius. For Bleach manga to conclude in August 2016 with no anime running is a bit strange. Side materials like games, movies, musicals tend to need a main work to generate a main consumer base.

Bleach had a lot of video games circa 2005-2009, then it tapers off to only a few released in the following years. Now there are 2(?), including the pretty well-received Brave Souls and a new partnership to release games in China (titles chosen are Bleach and OPM).

Musical had a successful run from 2005-2010, then the attempt at reprise in 2011-2012 failed as people don't like the original storyline and preferred the original cast. It went vacuum for a few years and then on 2016 they announced a revival, same old storyline with a whole new cast, who is more well-received than the 2011-2012 roster. This would've led to cashing in with the new cast for more shows in the next few years, but with no manga or anime I wonder if they can coast by with 2.5D fanbase alone.

Same goes for the live action. It would've been better to release it in say 2014 while the main work was still running. Who will still care about Bleach in 2018?

To kubo, that's more a tribal shape.
Another thing to remember, kain was water, isshin was fire, ichigo was darkness, relatives don't have a strict relation to their zans elements.
It's far more likely her zan will be serated or jagged like her fathers, if her tsuba is also tribal.

What did Ichigo exactly do during the final arc?

There isn't a single instance where Ichigo actually played a role in the final arc.

Ichigo had no goals or real motivation to fight Yhwach other than he attacked these people I barely have a connection to with the exception of a few people. Ichigo talks so little in the 88 chapters he appears in that we don't know his thoughts, feelings, fears, and desires other than I have to fight Yhwach and Yhwach will monologue for everything else

Ichigo wasn't even needed to kill Yhwach since anyone else could've swung a sword after the deus ex arrow even after spending so much time establishing Ichigo has powered up he was still beaten by Askim off screen

What did Ichigo actually do?

I don't want the anime coming back if the last five chapters aren't retconned into at least thirty chapters worth of stuff. The rushed ending could have been even shittier, but I don't want to let down people who didn't read the arc.

My minimum requests would be- something substantial depicting the real origins of the soul king, a fight with Haschwalth at least as long as the other elite SR fights, a clarified history of the Vandenreich, a little more drama and mystery surrounding Uryuu's loyalty and his given powers, and finally, a means of defeating Yhwach which makes more sense than "well, he didn't really check what Ryuken was concocting".

I believe if someone actually makes the anime, they'd be pretty eager to do this. Just out of the willingness to make a better product.

Kubo's art and writing go hand in hand, though; he's the kind of person who will draw a character first, and then build a story around them (ie. Rukia and Bleach). Anyone writing for Kubo would really need to be in sync with Kubo's artistic process; the whole of Bleach's early success was because of his amazing character and Bankai designs, which he created along with each Captain.

Then ichigo fought ywach and pushed him to take his quincy hollow powers away, which meant that when tsukishima restored his bankai, his shinigami powers allowed for that break apart attack.
Lastly, aizens assault wouldn't have worked if it was anyone other than ichigo, cause they would have seen the illusion instead of aizen.
Oh, and there's also the fact that ishida would likely not trust anyone else to make the killing blow other than ichigo

Royal Guards, Quincy and possibly Ginjo should be able to pull a slash like this off and they (likely) didn't see KS.

Back in HM, Ishida entrusted his life to Mayuri (who murdered his grandfather and people) and Renji (who he only knew through one short fight). I don't think he would have a problem.
