I'm actually in the middle of rewatching it.
I was sure i'd notice a million flaws and hate it now, but to be honest it holds up just how i remembered it.
Nothing perfect but i like it a lot on a personal level.

I usually don't read any manga but i was thinking of makign an exception for this.
I heard it's pretty old, that would explain why the anime seemed a bit different in its tone from other shows at this time
