I did and it's absolutely phenomenal, has some of the best scenes in the entire series. That being said, it should only be watched if you've seen the episodes before it, to get the best experience (heaps of the characters in the movie you won't even know), so it should really be watched after 265. Benizakura is easy for newcomers though.

Sorachi made the story and Takamatsu comes back to Gintama as a supervisor. It's really good. Watch probably after Gintama'. I'd kill for another Gintama movie.

Have you even watched the Popularity poll arc or look at any of the past popularity poll? "Nips" love the Shinsengumi. Kagura has never beaten Sougo and Hijikata and Shinpatchi has been in 8th for the last two. Have you forgotten most Gintama readers are female? It doesn't mean they love one over the other (even when the votes for the Shinsengumi are a bit more than KagSinGin) they have a favorite character who is a member of the Shinsengumi.
