Well yeah, but that's because Alibaba, didn't need to marry another royal. It just never applied to him. Hell that actually happenend in Sumomo, a character was arranged to marry another character, but she didn't want to because she was in love with somebody else, who and here's the important factor returned her feelings, so her engagement was canceled.

Basically what happened in Sumomo was this, if a character was in love with someone and their feelings were returned then they would end up in a relationship after both characters developed, however characters whose feelings weren't returned by the end of the series they were all moving on.

Morgiana liked Alibaba before he did. She got him. Sharrkan the same case with Yamu. I know she brother-zones him but I doubt anyone thinks they won't end up together. Sheba and Solomon, Toto and Olba, Hakuei and Kouen maybe, it has been hinted a lot in omakes and tegakis. Hell Ohtaka even teased Aladdin liking Fish.

Anyways, I hope both Hakuryuu and Fish get their happy ending at the end, whatever that is. I just don't want them to marry out of duty and really Ohtaka hasn't hint with romance regarding them so it would be out of nowhere.

It's more similar to Hakumor so far because at least one of the two seems interest in the other. Fish never felt romance for Baba and he the same. Hakuryuu did love Morgiana but she already liked Baba. Both pairings (Baba/Fish, HakuMor) would never happen, it was clear as day to me. I am going to give the benefit of doubt for Aladdin/Fish only because Fish doesn't like anyone else so far (I don't count her stupid, shallow crush on Sinbad) and she is good friends with Aladdin. If Aladdin really does like her, the pairing has a chance unlike Hakuryuu/Fish which was never hinted on from both sides and we are close to 15-17 chapters before Magi ends. It would be stupid so late in the manga.

Eh, you could see his intervention coming from a mile away desu. What really killed it was two things for me:

1. Kouen just surrendering like a bitch. I know it added more depth to his character, but still, look at what's happened to him since. The previous chapter seemed to be building up to a climactic confrontation with Sinbad, and the whole thing ended on a complete whimper. Honestly, I'd rather Kouen have been killed; that would have at least added some integrity to the conclusion.

2. Hakuryuu turning back into a "good guy" because he had a talk with Kouen and then did a pitiable monologue to himself. Seriously, he did way too many fucked up things to be redeemable at that point. What's worse, everyone forgave him for his bullshit. Hopefully he dies in the final battle.

Kouen surrendering like a bitch was also quite obvious once you get to know the character (that he was scared shitless of Gyokuen and envious of Sinbad because Sin could do stuff and he was just bidding for time), but the real problem is him not getting executed. I guess i can forgive Ohtaka if she gives Hakuei to him by the end of this but its still cheap.

Hakuryuu turning good was badly handled, i agree. He was a great example of anti-system black rukh not always being a bad thing (i mean look at him now) and his evolution back to an ally should have been way slower.

True. Those ending chapters of the arc definitely made me like Kouen more as a character (I personally think he's a much better character than Sinbad at this point). I'm just salty that he was reduced to a non-entity throughout this current arc. I was hoping that him switching limbs with Hakuryuu would have allowed him to be exempt from Sinad's control, but apparently not. I think it's a real shame.

And as for Hakuryuu - yeah, his turn was handled rather poorly. I mean, what was the point in his Rukh turning back to white if only those with black Rukh are free from Sinbad? If that was the case, then he should have stayed in Depravity, and then Ohtaka wouldn't have had to come up with that lame excuse of

Aladdin argument is "everyone should argue and suffer! is what we must do!" pretty much and he forgets we must argue and suffer BECAUSE we desire a peaceful world, its kinda the whole point of the utopia thing.
