So I just started watching Bake and I have to say, Nadeko's story is easily the worst of what I've seen so far.

As Araragi's girlfriend, it's obvious why Crab dislikes Bat, but even she knows there is no way for her to seperate the two. Must be frustrating as a girlfriend (excluding his family) that you won't be the only girl in your boyfriends life.

In Bats'case, she tolerates Crab's presence simply because Araragi cares about her. Araragi's happiness is more important to her then her own. The only thing Shinobu wants (for now) is to stay together with him. But even for her, Crab's presence in araragi life must be just as frustrating.

It's the only explanation I can think of. If he truly didn't like her or wanted her and Araragi to break up, he had a perfect opportunity in this book but that didn't happen.
