There's plenty potential material for a sequel. to deal with. Oshiyama showed interest/intent in doing it although some people characterize it as a joke, who knows.
It's possible, but not likely at the moment. Though you know things can always change.
I personally don't have my hopes up at the moment, but do want to see it happen.


Favorite episode?
8 for sure. I loved the mecha fight, I loved the awesome fusions, I loved the buildup leading to it with Yayaka being pressured to face her feelings and admit she wanted to save Cocona.
And of course I also loved the swimsuits and those delicious camera angles.

I loved all episodes from 1 to 9 though, and I also loved all the parts focused on yayaka between 10 and 13 as well as the ending epilogue montage.

I want it to show all the characters at least once, just to know what they're doing, and it'd be nice if they could also manage to hint or reference at what they did before.
Such as Sayuri and Hidaka being Salt's students.

Subtlety can go along way towards showing a lot in a short amount of time, just 1 scene, without having to say much.


I'd start it inside a pure illusion but without making it entirely clear that it's a pure illusion, it should look like normal sol until stuff starts to get whacky and crazy and it becomes obvious they were in pure illusion.
But they leave that pure illusion shortly afterwards, the entire section shouldn't be too long, just to show they still get to regularly go there and have fun and to start things on an upbeat note. Like the first episode, with Papika flying away on her board, that was a short but cool scene that added something fast paced and cool early, so the rest of the episode could have a slower pace until the end where it becomes hectic again.
Most of it should be on the real world to show the regular pace of life now that everything is over, they could even show something on the news that easily references some weird lab being closed down after a mysterious accident, just casually on a random TV like i the last episode.

But I'd like the focus on the characters. Something similar to last episode's epilogue montage in nature.

It might be better if they don't answer too many questions, or tackle anything too big because it wouldn't be possible to deal with it well in such a short time. Something like Salt telling Cocona he is her dad and then both of them reacting to it would be very heavy for just 1 ova.

This is interesting, I'm trying to interpret it and what I'm getting from it is that the characters evolved in his head as he was writing them, as if they were not set in stone initially, but the way he figured they'd react to different situations gave him an understanding of how they would be like on the inside, which further guided their evolution and how they ended being presented.


That's one of the great things about an anime original.
They can have an idea, and from that idea they can reshape the characters, and take what they learned about them back to the story. It helps the characterization become stronger, more consistent, it helps the characters feel more genuine.
