Do the LN's ever explain what Nagato physically is? What's inside her?
The only person I love more than Nagato is my waifu.
No it's not Haruhi you fucking shits
Say you confess to Nagato. She bluntly explains that she is an alien-robot and is incapable of returning your affections. In her logical perfection, she decides the best way to solve this problem is to have the Data Overmind make a non-hyperintelligent-superbeing duplicate of Nagato for you.
How do you feel about this?
>have the Data Overmind make a non-hyperintelligent-superbeing duplicate of Nagato for you.
I thought they did that already?
She has the personality a fucking plant. The only people that prefer her are turbo omega nerds hat cannot deal with other human beans that hae actual opinions and ideas of their own.
You don't really have to pick girl either, I mean, Haruhi can be too much of a cunt, and Asanina is literally retarded.
you did it on purpose right?
Hmm... So, affection, love and care is similar to a malfunction or a virus from a superior being perspective?
Yes I've read the LN multiple times, a she does get lot better and she's a very important part of the cast and a good friend for Kyon. But she still has this cardboard personality.
Actually, one of the chaptersthat I realy wanna see animated (besides Sasaki) is the one where the ranodm dude confesses to her. I'm pretty sure Kyoani could do a lot with that.
Sadly it wil never happen.
Yeah I've long since given up hope for that.
Honestly I might not even like Nagato as much if I reread the LNs now. The last time I did it was before S2 even came out, so I think 10+ years ago. I still think she's adorable though.
Oh man I always loved that illustration. I used it as my wallpaper on my Sony "candy bar" phone in like 2007.
Love is a middle spot between super logical behavior (superior beings as Nagato who only acts cold), and animal (who doesn't rationalize love, but just follow their instints).
So we may say love is, inherently, a human trait.
The interesting part is that once a superior being or an animal experience love (as they come in contact with us), they start to appreciate it and they change, or humanize, hence the "virus" definition: Love is contagious.
Human is flawed, but we're just in the perfect middle spot in which we can subjectively felt and rationalize love, and not even a "perfect" being can reach that, in fact, in some way I'm pretty sure they envy us for having that capacity.
Human is perfect in it's own way.
If you remember correctly Nagato said they're observing Haruhi (which is a human, a more powerful human, but human after all), because they, as a more advanced species, are stagnant in the evolutionary ladder. In other words, they want lo learn from us. And love is one of those things they don't have, which can be the solution. Who knows...
I've taught my waifu to defend herself.
Almost. She only loses to Haruhi.
>you'll never have a cute girl with existencial crisis secretely love you, be all tsundere around you and make you participate on her crazy antics as she pretends to be happy but while actually feeling miserable inside because she can't confess because that would go against the persona she created around you, making it too embarassing for her
Why live. thank you for bringing this anime up, OP. I'm back to feeling down.
Yuki is, always has been, and always will be, best girl
She's the only good girl.
>post cute nagato doing cute things
Hate to wake you up to reality, but Mikuru (adult) is the best girl
The tenth comes out Feb 4th.
But it's neither of those things. It's a weird fan stomping their feet and declaring their girl the winner in an AU, when the 'actual' romance that they're clearly objecting to has never even been explicitly resolved.
It's the most pathetic thing I've seen published.
What is a spinoff?
What is some harmless fun?
Yuki oriented or not, it's the environ and characters from a sciencefiction drama-comedy put into a regular scenario and their interactions.
It's weird that you, >>152265403 and your ilk just shit on it needlessly.
Basically any Nagato when she's doing that face.
It's not an aimbot, she just lifts her mouse a lot.
>shitty writing excuses out of character-ness
Yuki-chan is not a "fun" spin-off. How can it be fun when it removes all the element that made Haruhi great?
It's literally only waifu wish-fulfillment shit, nothing more than that.
Is the Yuki anime worth watching? I remember watching the first episode and just feeling... bored. It seems like it's all fluff and nothing else, I feel like it was trying to be funny and it just wasn't and there's no tension either because it felt like Kyon and Yuki start off liking each other.
>shitty writing excuses out of character-ness
Again, the premise is a continuation on the disappearance timeline without Kyon being self aware.
The foundation is built on what you supposedly consider good writing, with one element of one character changed. The rest is developed in a logical path from that. Do you just have zero imagination?
>a previous statement or proposition from which another is inferred or follows as a conclusion.
The setting/story, or in this case, the PREMISE is a continuation as an alternative to the moment Yuki re-wrote the world in disappearance.
>Again, the premise is a continuation on the disappearance timeline without Kyon being self aware.
It's not. It's based on the concept of disappearance, but they're not the same character archetypes.
>continuation as an alternative to the moment Yuki re-wrote the world in disappearance
That's what I'm talking about, the disappearance redirection to Yuki-chan site it's just a themed event and no one should take it seriously and no matter what those jews say anyone with half a brain knows the universe in which Yuki-chan takes place is completely different from all others in which the main story develops.
So as disappearance Nagato != Yuki-chan,
we have then
>original Nagato = Haruhi-chan Nagato > disappearance Nagato >> Yuki-chan.
Because of what was stated above.
Yeah, it's not related because it's an alternative story.
All I'm saying is that if Kyon wasn't self aware and the disappearance world reset happened, then that's what the point of the manga is.
I only say this because it's insinuated otherwise.
Whether you like it or not is irrelevant.
It just seems every time there is a thread it's people shitting on the series, I give a reason why Pyon writes it like he does, and then just get the same responses just saying it's bad without rhyme or reason.
>It's true because I say so!, no matter if the fucking story doesn't have any continuation nor connection beyond names and a similar color palette for the uniforms
Way to go retard, are you perhaps from Africa?
Again, read the thread. The whole thing isn't related because it's an alternative world, but the premise is what I've already said multiple times.
You're just making yourself look like a huge ass.
Watch episodes from 9 to 13.
Kyon done fucked up big time not picking this
Abso-fucking-lutely. The explenation for why Kyon goes back to his world is butt-fucking retarded.
"All of that fucking crazy nonsense that makes my life a living hell is what makes my life interesting. All of my constant complaining and misery is just a facade; I actually love it all."
What a crock. The guy had his out and fucking wasted it because "movie needs predictable feel-good ending". Literally my only real issue with that film. Everything else in the movie is stellar.
If you're not retarded, you can see in the series that he cares a lot about Haruhi's craziness and all her antics. His speech in ep1 is him trying to sound all mature when he really craves for all that stuff. He's just adult enough to know when to stop so he doesn't throw crazy tantrums like Haruhi, but deep down he loves all these out of the ordinary experiences.
Kyon's the definition of an unreliable narrator anon, everytime he complains about having to deal with Haruhi's shenanigans he's lying to make it look like he's above it all when in reality he loves it
Here, let me improve that Yuki for you
I thoroughly enjoyed it. Its not season 3 as everyone was bitching and moaning about back when it came out but it did itch that scratch for something haruhi at least. Also whats this complaint about fluff most of the original anime was fluff slice of life is mostly fluff. Thats the entire point of slice of life in the first place.
Anon, you've missed something fucking vital. Kyon's entire thing is that he enjoys the dumb bullshit but he needs to be forced into it. If it wasn't for Haruhi giving him literally no other real option he would've just sat there noncommittally. Disappearance has him taking charge and actually making a fucking decision for himself for once in his life. To just settle for the comfortable and safe world that Yuki presented would be him rolling over and allowing others to make the tough calls for him once again. And he knows it. It was the sudden removal of Haruhi from his life that spurred him into action and even he's not in denial enough to know how important that is.
The entire point of the movie is him realizing and admitting to himself that he doesn't want 'an out'.
It's an arc from the novels.
>Gymnopedia starts playing
Though I said I would have lived a normal life with Nagato in my original post, Kyon's reason to go back in the original world wasn't retarded at all. It just shows what kind of character Kyon is. Even though he gets annoyed by Haruhi, deep inside, he's actually pretty happy that he's living a life full of adventure.
Told my loli niece to watch Disappearance.
She watched both seasons already.
She's already a huge Kyoanifag who watched almost everything they released.
While I admit she is best girl I'm in love with the moeblob
>Is Nagato the best girl?
Yes best girl to be an abusive boyfriend with
Is this cute?
Kyon musn't have done his homework.
Yuki was the best girl in her series, but that's not saying much. Her competition was a shrill, deceitful moeblob and the biggest bitch in the galaxy. Overall Yuki is a pretty sub-standard rei clone who's lucky that she was created for a show full of irritating characters.
Because it has as different premise, is executed well, has good direction, endearing characters, art design, voice acting, pacing, actual comedy and tense moments you can appreciate.
Such a mystery why it is/was popular.
Kimidori is kinda cuter. Nagato's backup units need more screen time.
Because everything about it is better than all other similar shows.
I still remember /a/ when this first came out. Good times. There really hasn't been any reaction like it since with the exception of Code Geass (though for very different reasons). It came out of nowhere, no one was talking about it before the season started, and just blew everything else away by the 2nd week.
This thread is like Endless 8, it never ends.
>FIVE FUCKING DAYS 3 HOLY HOURS
>FIVE FUCKING DAYS 3 HOLY HOURS
In truth this happens to quite a few threads these days. The simple fact is /a/ just isn't that active (comparatively) to what it used to be. The regulars must have found jobs.
No, the massive influx of cancer that has invaded in the past 3 years, as opposed to the 3 before that has driven out or silenced many others.
Especially relegating their interactions to private circles
She TOTALLY is. Especially, "Disappearance" Nagato-chan.
She has my
I wonder how the mods would react if I killed Hiro?
they practically look the same anyways, just with different hair, skin tone and maybe bust
It was too far fetched that Haruhi still didn't suspect anything even when they were in that school for dead kids. I mean Nagato was summoning daggers out her friggin right arm, and people getting crushed and coming back to life. How oblivious is she?
Confirming that Nagato is indeed truly the BEST girl.
Yes, she is perfect.
this one is neither cute nor lewd
this one is not cute and the lewdness is not appealing
Is this a cute picture of my wife on her wedding then?
The Kyoani universe before k-on was a messed up one indeed.
She starts dating a random.
She views Kyon as an old friend and stepping stone for growing up. She seemed to have wished he asked her out long ago but since has gotten over him.
It's never going to happen now, is it?
God fucking damn it.
